He pulls off illusions in the midst of crowds on the street where everyone can see every angle of him - sometimes even standing in a complete circle around him hand in hand on an everyday street - & he disappears from under a sheet.
He's walked down the side of 5 story building, walked on water while people were swimming around & under him. Had himself cut in half without the aid of a big box he got into first & people walked through his 2 halves. The only one to pull off the 'buried alive' stunt.
Guy is very talented in his art! Watch on A & E every Wednesday night. Some of the things he pulls off are almost unexplainable with rationable thought.

I watch his show, with my daughter, if I happen to catch it.. We don't watch tv often, but sky thinks the guy is scary, yet fascinating:) (Yes, I am SUCH a bad mother, I also allow her to watch the simpsons;)...) Plus, the guy is kinda cute... in a... odd gothic, weird modern vampire kinda way:)
My fave show was when he went through the wood shredder thingy... whatever that is called.. anyways, blood spurted out;) It was amusing:) The crowd looked like they were going to vomit. I love that.

Thanks Lonnie, Although I'm fascinated in this area.. I've actually never heard of the guy. I have some reading to do. This stuff is interesting IMO...
Sounds as though he does the "King Rising" levitation stunt. The Balducci levitation wouldn't work if people are observing him at all angles. (or 360 degrees)

I have seen this giy... He is amazing. I have caught it a couple of times on the weekend. I saw the one where he levitated from on build roof to another. There were people under him and there was nothing on top of him except for sky...Now I know when I can catch this...Gotta set my VCR for next wednesday

Which one Gilly. The glass episode ? or his levitation episode ? Now I'm trying to figure out how glass can appear to be seamed with mirror and tint... yet be two separate pieces....as opposed to one large pane glass  .. Problem with watching this stuff is it get's you wondering, and trying to solve these riddles...HEHE...grrrr

i saw the glass episode.
It irritated me.. because, i simply CAN"T quite figure it out... and I mean.. i watched it CLOSELY... Lol, justy thinks that the crowd is paid, and it is television tricks.... Ya know, I think it would be better to see this kind of illusion live.
If you watch his shows... it is amusing, because some of the people actually say things like "Wow... That man IS magic"... and, they seem to believe in "magic"... Lol... There was one episode, where he went up to a woman eating almods out of a bag, sitting on a bench in a mall. He asked for an almond, and ate it, and then requested a second. That one, he laid on the bench, ran his hand over it... and a roach ran out from under his hand... the woman actually spit out what she was eating, and threw the rest away, as though there were bugs in them.... What is odd is... that this man CARRIES roaches around with him, to do illusions;) Lol.
Some episodes he explains his tricks. He showed how to do the levitation one once too.

Gilly, I hope the crowd ISN'T paid, and "set up".. or feigning surprise. If that's the case this whole thing can just be done with mirrors.... I was trying to pay very close attention to the "Open" sign on the window, as well as movement in the OTHER side which is a comparably sized window, that might slide.... Who know's... If it's fixed when he "Took his shoes off for all we know they changed something... .. But you are absolutely correct... I was trying to see if there was any noticeable seam in the glass...You can't tell with camera's..... One strange thing about the levitation illusion, his leg's and feet dangle like puppets... when he's in the air... you don't see him voluntarily moving anything from the waste down, which leads me to wonder what position his body is in when his torso is leaving the ground... I need to watch some more... .. He's not levitating of course....but how are our eye's being tricked is the question here...

I watched it more closely..... Those aren't his leg's.....That can't be seen from all angles divulging the same results... I'll bet you anything there's something in front of those two fake legs..
Balducci levitation is only 3 inches tops..... that's clever though.... This is the thing GIlly. You are correct.... If you were there live.... you'd check ALL angles of him... Those that say they can't understand what's happening and are present ARE part of the prop.... Anything else would be physically impossible... even mirrors they see...

I just have one question...hehe... are the paper holder's in the window stunt part of HIS staff, and assisting in the illusion possibly NOT holding the papar against a lifting glass structure ? or are they just people off the street's.... I think that glass is moving...If we could see the bottom of the window, we might see that.... we can't see the bottom however...
What annoyed me, is that I spent days thinking, trying to figure out how Copperfield could do something with mirror's, and lighting to make the statue of liberty appear it's disappeared..... As it turns out it was BS..... EVERYBODY present was "in on this"... Apparently they pulled a curtain on a boat, and showed photo's from a helicopter in a different location.. So much for that stunt.. load's of different camera's in different places..loads of money spent but that wasn't even an illusion. The TV viewer's were the only ones fooled

Still a great trick! Although it doesn't explain how he's doing it in the middle of a road or the girls holding his hands by the building.

Holy Xit... .... .. He's still good at what he does, his diversion technique's quite clever... I wasn't sure if he had his legs on the floor at all figured he might start from a squating position on a platform about 2-3 feet up and have four legs, not just three....sort've like deep kneebends on chair.. Lonman, did you notice in a few of the movies of him levitating the area underneath him, is blurred out... In a few cases they might actually be editing out whatever he's stepping on.. I need to watch the shot's again of when he's facing people, but I do recall the film does blur alot ..I need to rewatch that...see if there's a prop nearby....or perhaps fans are being used to blow the legs of the pants to a different angle...I noticed it's somewhat windy when he's out on the street, with the tree's in the background.... I think a few of those stunts are just BS editing of film too.. I doubt ANYONE who's present in real when he's doing those stunts see's what we see on film...
In two of those levitation stunts where it appears he can't have anothing to step onto, you can be sure he has cables attached, Either that, or angled mirror's are being used at the lower portion of his body, and a fake leg is dropped in front of a mirror .. maybe something like that.... During the stunt with the trees, he's using the curb, but they seem to edit abit out.. I need to watch this. With the people all around god only knows what they see in real, that we do not..
It looks like a blast though.... I have dreams about being able to do stuff like that with no chair to step on... ..just make myself really light, extend my arms.... and take off a few feet... Another thing is...you notice when he's facing the crowd by the building.... the whole area by his legs blend with the area he's facing away from ? it's darking and all one tone.... he might be using acrylic, or even a slope in the road, or a curb we can't see that blends in, but because of lighting conditions isn't visible... the strange trick is in front of the white wall/door area joining hands, and lifting with apparently NOTHING under him.... I need to check to see if mirror's might refract images not sure.. or if he's being hoisted up...
OK, it's not mirror's..

Lonman, I think in a few of those shots he's using a fake backdrop... props, and camera zoom or doing considerable spacial effects, and he's just doing standard balducci levitation.... Where he appears to be getting "higher off the ground", I believe what's happening is there's a partial projected image, and his distance from background, and camera zoom is what they are changing.... Yet the angle of his body, with the head back tilted up slightly, leg's forward and lowering forward are interesting to observe too, yet one thing that's evident is his distance from the camera is what's changing, or distance relative to his surroundings changes... not really his height off the ground... camera zoom, and his distance change.. almost as though in the outdoor shot where he's facing the camera in front of the skyscraper, he's walking down an angled plank... that type illusion...something like a 30 degree tilt downwards and forward as he's descending, he comes closer to the camera.. or is zoomed in
