aluminuminum and other words that you can't pronounce correctly

I guess I pronounce most everything correctly. I say.... alot of "phrases" that people think odd, atleast around here. (blame my parents for that, lollll)

Like, when I say I'm gonna put something in the turtle hull of a car, they look at me like I must drive a new car with some new fangled object on it.  LOL But mom & dad never called it a "trunk".... they were too old fashioned I guess. So that's what I learned to call it too. And I usually say that when refering to one, out of habit. Luckily, my Bronco doens't have one.... so I don't have to worry about that happening too often. :)

I get laughed at alot for this one:

You take a freeway "eggzit".... my hubby is constantly saying "It's X-it"    Gimme a break though..... HE really can NOT say aluminum. It's alinimum.  Or Colorado, haha, it's something like Coddleroddle.  LOL And he doesn't use a lawn mower, it's a "lawmlower". Dang Arkansas guys..... trying to correct my speach.

And.. the other thing people laugh at that I say, is  "rinsing" as in "rinsing dishes"..... it always gets said as "wrenching dishes". Not an improper pronounce, just using the wrong word I guess.

But I guess I pretty much pronounce correctly. (no fun at all, am I?)  :(

yes, I know what you are saying...I get so irritated when I hear people say " pea can" instead of "pe con"

I think it may be a southern thing....There was once a puzzle on Wheel of fortune that had the word Pacan in it and the guy said "pe con" and they said he got the puzzle wrong..I was really mad...It said it right, he was from the south
