I'm trying to track down some Guns and Roses songs, specifically Sweet Child Of Mine for a friend.  No it's not for me, that would be way too silly to even consider!  LOL   Anyway the disc number he wrote down was P10044-B-1 but he's not sure who put's it out. So who put the P in the P10044?  Are there any other good GNR versions out there?

The one I have is a Legends one... lol don't bother with it the bassline is actually wrong in spots (figured I would save you some time)

Actually I like the Sheryl Crow version quite a bit, which I picked up from the Legends Series.

Yeah the Sheryl Crow one is good.... it sounds like the original, it just bugs me when they get something as obvious as the bassline wrong. (and I don't even play!)

44-B-1 is a 12" laser disc, Pioneer also has a good version on CD+G   PI009-2, I think..... it could be #3 track.

I prefer the Sound Choice version as well, it's the complete version, the Pioneer disc chops quite a bit from it - but chances are you wouldn't be able to find the Pioneer version anymore.

I made a homemade VCD version of this song with the original GnR background video check it out if you like at:

http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?a ... EF352E9140

It's about as good as I could get it. Took about 5 hours and 4 different programs and a lot of patience.

I also prefer the Sound Choice version as well.  Both Pioneer and DK cut their versions short at the end of the song, not to mention that the DK rendition is one click lower than the original key (DK is in C, original is Db).

Nice job!  Only thing I would have done different was to probably cut the video to the length of the karaoke song, rather than edit in extra guitar solo time, otherwise you did an awesome job!  Would like to know how you did that myself - which programs & method.

Robdog IS God when it comes to this crap! LOL! He really is a musical genius with far too much time on his hands. I've just been astounded at the stuff he's been able to devocalize, stuff his band has done, and yes, his video and audio editing!!

 Thx.
I used Virtualdub to remove the audio from the video
Then used the mp3 from the sound choice version of the song
Then made a new graphic file with Karaoke Builder Studio
Then put them all together with Ulead Video Studio Editor 8
Lining up that song was a nightmare.
Good ear Lon I had to double up the lead track with Audacity.
no version had the right length.
