I currently run a gig at a bar that is decent size and I want to add an additional speaker as well as an additional sub, but only have money for one of the two at this point. My system is as follows:

2 JBL Eon G2's
1 JBL 18' powered sub
DFX12 mixer
BBE maxmizer

My goal is to provide a quality sound for a greater area. One Problem I do have is that I have my two speakers positioned about 15 feet on each side of the stage with the sub directly in front of the stage. It seems to be a lot of bass coming back towards the singer. Should I put the sub under one of the speakers to elevate this? If I do that I would need additional cable to reach from mixer and other speaker in order to connect to sub. What would you suggest additional speaker or add another sub. thanks

Add another EON G2 first & place it toward the back of the room (or area you want more sound).  This will give you a little more control & may not have to turn up so loud overall.  Then I would add another sub at a later date & place both EON's on top - but you may find you don't need the added sub.  Also, I would take the sub from directly in front of the stage & move it off to the side or under one of the front speakers - sub frequencies are pretty much non-directional.  Also your speakers are in the air correct (via a speaker stand or hanging - the way you said to 'elevate' it made me wonder).  If they are not, get a couple speaker stands first & get your speakers about 8-10 feet in the air, this may help with sound projection before adding another speaker.

If you add an additional sub, you'll be able to fill the room with sound at a lower volume, which it sounds like what you really want to do. Plus, you can then run each speaker in stereo paralell with the mains and place each one under the mains to solve your other problem.

Using your current setup, however, the sub will be fine under one of the speakers since bass is non-directional for the most part (what IS directional is the air THUMP to the chest cavity that the sub provides, so make sure you still point it towards the dance floor!!)

You can then avoid the problem of sending another cable to the other speaker by hooking the sub up to the monitor output or AUX send of your mixer. It is then receiving the main mix signal INDEPENDENT of the main output that goes to the mains. The pro AND con to that is that your mains will then be getting a full-range signal, which is a good thing if you are not driving them too hard but is a bad thing if you are driving them too hard.

Anyway, those are some good options!!

I currently have my connections running as follows: Mixer to BBE to SUB to Speakers and if I add a speaker I will just loop out of one of the existing speakers. I also have a montior coming out of my AUX send all ready so I'm not sure how I would run the sub through that. If I stay with one Sub located under one speaker and go with three speakers should I be running Mixer to BBE to SUB to Speakers and if I add a speaker I will just loop out of one of the existing speakers? If so, I will need extra cable to get from the sub to the other speaker on the other side of stage. I know the sub has a built in crossover that works well with the eons so I dont want to run it to a point that isnt as efficent as it should be. Thanks  :D

You didn't state which model sub, so from 1 channel of mixer to BBE to sub, then I would run the 2 front speakers from the hi pass output on the sub - basically daisy chain the two speakers from that output.
For the 3rd speaker use the other channel of the mixer to BBE to speaker.  This one will be getting more of a full range signal since it will be in further location from the sub.
You really wouldn't worry about the Aux send method to control the sub, doing so would turn the other speakers down as well.  Doing the above method you will be able to control your fronts (including the sub) & 3rd speaker independantly in case the back (3rd) speaker needs more or less volume.

Yeah, then hook it up as I described above.  1 channal of mixer to 1 channel of BBE to 1 input of sub with the HPF out of the sub running to 2 of the EONS for the front.  Other channel of mixer, to other channel of BBE to 3rd speaker.

Hooking it up this way would be better than chaining the 3rd speaker? The eons allow you to daisy chain additional speakers. So your saying one channel goes into the sub (Example: Input A) and run out two both speakers (Output A & B) leaving Input B empty on the sub. Doing it this way would it cause some of the Karaoke songs to sound off because I'm running on 1 channel? Example would be Whole lotta love which has certain instruments recorded on seperate tracks if.

He's talking active crossover, however the sub has one built in so no need there.

Anyway, for karaoke or 99% of live type music situations, you don't need to run stereo & unless the entire room is set-up perfectly (which many aren't) to benefit from stereo effect, half the room is always going to miss some of the music.  The ONLY ones that may benefit (but honestly probably won't care either way) are the people sitting directly in the middle.  Run mono, this really only affects the player which you probably have on a stereo channel.
If you string the 3rd speaker to the others & set it up away from the sub, that speaker is not going to be putting out any lower frequencies since it's receiving the same signal as the crossed over front speakers (or if you tap it from the sub output)& might get kind of piercing on the ears (no pun intended).  Plus you wouldn't have any individual volume control from the mixer - sure you could run back & forth to it everytime you needed to change volume.  Using your front speakers on one channel controlling sub & top speakers & the other channel of the mixer to control the back speaker (not going through sub) will give you more control over the sound volume.  Also you described correctly how to hook it up, but you would only need one output of the sub & daisy chain the 2 front speakers together of of 1 output.  Being it's only line level signal, you aren't going to blow anything like with a speaker level output.

So to make sure I'm reading this correctly. Send one channel (left or Right) out from the main mixer to BBE (left or Right) out to Sub (Input A or B) out to speaker than daisy chain to other speaker. Then, go from one channel (left or right) out from the main mixer to BBE (left or Right) bypass sub go directly to 3rd speaker. So if I turned the "pan" left I would hear only the front 2 speakers and "pan" right I would only hear the 3rd speaker. The sub would not be in the chain at all with 3rd speaker?  :)

The sub would not be in the chain with the 3rd speaker - correct.  But you wouldn't need to use the pan at all - there is a left & right main fader, 1 controls the fronts with the sub, the other controls the 3rd speaker alone (no sub).  Again, don't run stereo, no need.
