When people say there are two sides of a story, they are wrong. There are as many sides to a story as the number of people involved. However, the side of the story that is most important is the last side, TRUTH. Everyone may think they're right but usually the truth is somewhere inbetween.

Quote: My point is, there are ALWAYS at least two sides to every story like this.
Yep Tim. This is why I don't like to side with someone just because THEY are the one's telling me a story. It's not honest of me to try to give solutions to moral dilemmas when only hearing one side, or sometimes as you say, even 8 sides...
Problem is *MY* truth isn't necessarily a lie assuming it's my subjective truth, emotion, and individual ego often clutter chances of objectivity. "Ethics", might often be cultural norms, not universal truth's, just individual value systems. Yet "one side" isn't a fair representation of an event either assuming there are other perspectives, and not just my own.. At least not necessarily. Ethic's can just be individual values, in our case, often Judeo/Christian (in origin) western values, yet often learned norms within a system. NOT universal truths... In India it's a sin to kill the sacred cow... People die of starvation with cattle all around... In our nation that won't usually happen... Different beliefs. If there's an absolute "truth", we don't yet recognise it. Besides perhaps we must eat, not jump from a high flying airplane without a parachute if we want to live...etc
Let's not get into theology now LOL
This type of ethic's, is called "Ethical Relativism". There are several types of ethics. Or thought processes (pertaining to order and moral-ethical construct)

I've only made one mistake in my life.... it just happened to last 30 years.
The truth of the story is only as truthful as the person telling it.
If I tell you a story about anything that has happened or I have seen, you can believe that every detail and action that occured is exactly how it happen. I'm not a person that needs to enhance or stretch the truth to get some kind of additional pleasure. I speak the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. So help me, DOG.
You know that there are some people in this world that are and always will be weasels. He could be one of those,... I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt. You know people that constantly lie, steal, cheat. You know some that are always A**HOLES TOO. A leopard never changes his spots. Remember the story about the snake that tricked the little girl into taking him in from the cold? He ended up biting her, and when she lay dieing, she asked him why, after she had been so kind to save his life. His reply was "You knew I was a snake, when you picked me up".
Personally, I wouldn't tell him what time it was to take life saving medicine. Much less how I do karaoke. LMAO

But they sure as heck go to the same stores, restaurants, bars, etc looking for the same clients. It's called competition. Live with it. Unless you have an excusive contract.

Although Pepsi just blew the whistle on some Coke employees trying to sell Pepsi the Coke formula. Direct quote from a Pepsi official "Competition can sometimes be fierce, but also must be fair and legal," Pepsi spokesman Dave DeCecco said.

I would venture to say that there are many more unscrupulous and immoral business owners, in every field. It's much easier to cheat and lie that to run and honest enterprise. When the pot is only so big and the competition keeps growing, some will fall, many will take advantage by whatever means they feel is necessary. So get out of my way...

There is also a difference between the way it is done inside the city and outside just a few miles away.

The reality is MONEY buys ALOT.... Not tough to get a disgruntled Pepsi CEO, or vice-versa to almost want to pay the competition to screw the company they are angry at, and go to work for the competition, the competition would often welcome this too.. It's not the case of Coke or Pepsi (at least I don't think), however you'd be amazed how many of these huge companies are actually an Oligopoly... They compete against one-another, however they BOTH win... They are the same corporation... I worked for a corporation that had three competing stores in the same mall...
Here's a joke along those lines:
Two beggars are sitting side by side on a street in Dublin. One has a cross in front of him, the other one the Star of David.
Many people go by and look at both beggars, but only put money into the hat of the beggar sitting behind the cross. A priest comes by, stops and watches throngs of people giving money to the beggar behind the cross, but none to the beggar behind the Star of David.
Finally the priest goes over to the beggar behind the Star of David and says: "My poor fellow, don't you understand? This is a Catholic country. People aren't going to give you money if you sit there with a Star of David in front of you, especially when you're sitting beside a beggar who has a cross. In fact, they would probably give to him just out of spite."
The beggar behind the Star of David turns to the beggar with the cross and says: "Moishe, look who's here to teach the Levine Brothers about marketing!"

There are decent KJ's out there. And there conniving pigs... Don't mean to sound ignorant, but that is the class I put them in.
I would never try to steal someones bread and butter from them. I respect every KJ who has worked hard at making a GOOD name for themselves.
We good ones can't help it some of them are just unscrupulous. But they are there. And as someone else said, we have to deal with the situation when it comes around. Just don't look at me for help when your in a bind. I can usually forgive, but don't forget. Unless it comes to my work. Then I don't fogive either. I used to feel sorry for the low lifes that thought they could steal my jobs. Figured they must need the work pretty darn bad. But you know what? They couldn't compare to what I had, and how I held a job. Now I regret having to share a title with them. That of being a KJ.

Yes but staying with the Coke/Pepsi analogy, there are also no name colas too. They may not be as good as the big two, but they do fill a niche. Those that want quality will pay for it, those that don't, won't. If you have a good product, reasonably priced, you should be able to survive and flourish.
