NEED SOME ASSISTANCE
A friend of mine purchased a Soundblaster Audigy 2NX usb sound card to use with her Laptop. She is having trouble getting it to work and looking at it on line
I can't exactly see how to connect it myself.
Anyone using this exact model? I can't tell what type of connections are required
I'm sure its not RCA or 1/4" by the pics .... maybe 1/8"
It looks like the only audio out is thru the headphones. ????
Unfortunately I can't get over to see it im person to see.
I took a quick look at it and you have to connect to the 1/8" connector. It looks like it has 3 stereo output using 1/8" connectors. Each pair is part of the 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound mode. You need one of
these to convert it from the 1/8" stereo to two 1/4" monos. Connect standard 1/4" mono pair cables to your mixer and you should be good to go.
What I did for my DJ, using similar card, is to channel first pair output to the mixer and used the second pair output with the headphone. That way I can have my DJ program to queue music on one channel while music is playing on other channel. Then when you fade to other, it switches between the two.
I hope this helped.
