I always have to go clean my contacts before delving into one of Stevens long posts.
Makes it a lot easier!

Don,  you should do what they do in the far east prior to reading my posts.  They drop acid, and smoke opium... It add's a whole bunch of dimension's to my content such as odor's,  trap door's that open to the meaning of life,  All sort's of cosmological words as to evolution of life, and the differences between life and death appear in 4-D....  It's a religious as well as scientific experience...  I've even been told that people perceive my type, as if it's being presented by a deceased loved one,  they can even smell the cigar smoke as they hear their aunt recite all sort's of esoteric stuff....

Sorry, I just received a PM from Kabul Afghanistan correcting the cigar statement...
It's a Ganish Beede

Maybe you could put them out in "talking post" form for us who are somewhat visually impaired.

Hey Gilly  :)

Yeah,  I can do just about anything, when I'm supposed to be either paying bill's, cleaning my place,  attending to something in real I'd rather not do...hehe...  Procrastination is a great motivator !  Hope all has been well with you,  I thought about you over the past 1/2 year since we haven't seen you around much...

PS..  I spend hours lacing my boot's now before ever thinking about passing out in here now too !

Yeah,  I still have "it"   :dancin:

Even have a powder for "it"

I guess you went to bed around the time I commented regarding the "doing a man's job better than a Man"....  I'm one of the few that will NEVER underestimate the ability of women...  I've always felt in general women ARE better adapted to "life" and their surroundings than we males, better grounded.... Especially after a woman has become a mother.... At that point, what can't a woman really do that a squeemish guy can do ?  Very little a woman can't do if she wants to do it.... I've never gotten into this "real man" stuff for that reason,  because a "real man" isn't anything IMO that's admirable... It's just a make believe game IMHO... I feel our basic needs are androgenous, a 30 year old "real man" will often have a wicked mid-life crises down the road when he needs something deep down inside himself, but doesn't know where to begin to look.... because everything inside the shell is strange and taboo for "real men" to look at...

It's a really great group of folks now Gilly... Things have been peaceful for the most part, a recent small altercation, that even I'm chilling from, but these things happen when you make friends online.....  Still, it's a great group this year... very accepting of all...

That is very true, and very insightful. I wouldn't expect less than that from you.

I am gonna make my hubby read all that (and from the other post too).. because he gets picked at, a LOT from his friends, for not being "manly" in their opinion. But, he is the ONLY one who is a daddy, and a husband, etc etc... and in my opinion, a wonderful one at that. THAT is what makes him "manly" to me:)

Ok, to get back on topic... ignore this post:)

I have seen a poster being missed in threads before. They often assume that they are being ignored for some reason.  Sometimes the other posters are just more into what they are already discussing than what was just interjected into the middle of their conversation.

What do you like to do when you feel that you posted something interesting and on topic that "seemed" to be ignored? :)

I agree that what you said about people being more into what was already being said...I think everyone's posts get ignored at one point or another, and no offense should be taken. If you consider it's like one big room of people all talking to each other at the same time sometimes, it makes it hard to get heard. If it gets missed, oh well.

This would be a good one to ignore, fair warning.

On another site I used to be on, I saw a lot of women who where a little vague about what they were looking for in a man. After a few months, these same women would add a line of text to their profiles stating that they are looking for a real man. This is still vague, to me anyway, and also subjective. Apparently, the men they ended up going out with where not their idea of a real man. I can't recall a single one who would go into detail about what it takes to be a real man in their eyes.

I just go back to my old belief that there is such thing as a perfect person. I am perfectly me. There is always room for improvement and that comes with work and time. My own case involved a lot of work.

I was born an uptight jerk. The older I got the more obvious this became. No one helped me with this; it was something I had to improve on all by my self. It took hired help that I couldn't afford but I found a way.

Also, being a little out of touch with my surroundings forces me to listen to people for tips on what I can do better next time. This opens me up to a lot of pain too. I still run into plenty of people who have sandpaper for personalities, which is what they often receive the same from me in return, more so in real life. I used to let everything slide but I found that was counterproductive.

I have refused service to patrons in my restaurants that treated my staff like verbal punching bags. Those people are often surprised that it is not OK.

It probably get's down to just this Chuck,  "Real Man" is just a male a woman is "in love" with, perhaps infatuated with.  When the fantasy wears off, like all people the angel's and demon's contrast more, and like all people real man is just a human who's a pain-in-the-butt

"Real woman" is just a woman a male is "in love" with, perhpas infatuated with " " " " " """""""""""""""""""""""""" " " " " " " "" Yadda yadda. blah blah.... when the fantasy wears off, like all people the """""""" and who's a pain-in-the-butt...

IF a woman likes a sensitive emotional man who collects butterflies, and Ken Doll's, to her that's a "real man"... Assuming in her mind, that's what a man should be like.. As you say it's TOTALLY subjective, transcient, always evolving, devolving, and it's culturally conditioned for some, trial and error for others... Yet when you think about it, what's so Appealing about a "real man" ?  or "All man" ?  Doesn't that often conote polygamous, unfaithful pig that snores, belches farts, wears the same T-shirt with Pit stains, is unemployed, lives in his mothers basement, is obese, with body odor ?....

Hmmm...  Maybe romance is in the card's for me after-all !!!!!   Why am I depriving so many females of what they want ?  I really need to start typing more !

Isis... I am saving up to FINISH the  thing. I have the under the arm part to go.. and tehn I am done.. well, with THAT one.. I still have a few more planned (I want a HUGE peacock, taking up almost  my whole leg, from above the knee, and covering my lower leg:) Can we say.. EXPENSIVE? And, I am expanding one piece I already have on my chest, to include my daughters name, and a bird, etc etc.

And, because some people here don't really know me... here is the almost finished pic.... I am putting  a fan under my arm, with some more cherry blossoms.. well, i think:) 20 hours + so far...  ANyways, here is the pic:) You can ignore this post if it bores you:) Hehehe.

A fan under your arm? I assume you mean an oriental style hand fan and not a three speed oscillating fan on a three foot stand. Although that might be just as cool...
