I'd love to see some early R.E.M. made available, from the Murmur, Chronic Town, Fables era.
If I hear Losing My Religion or Everybody Hurts one more time I'm going to hurt somebody...
My favorite band, but enough is enough.

God, I can't remember the last time I heard a somewhat decent rendition of Losing My Religion. It's a pretty crowd-killing song as it is.

I am lucky I guess, haven't heard either of those songs in years. I do sing Losing My Religion however. May have to resurrect that for next week.

Don't get me wrong, they are (or sadly, were) my favorite band. But drunk 20-somethings who only know them from these songs trying badly to imitate Stipe's odd delivery and vocal tics is just excruciating.
While we're on the topic, I'd pay good money for a karaoke version of Camper Van Beethoven's "Key Lime Pie" album from 90 or 91. Just great song after great song.
If you're curious, check out "Sweethearts", "Borderline" and their cover of "Pictures of Matchstick Men". Great, great stuff. I'd put it up against any alternative album from that era. SO much good music came out of the alternative revolution of the 80's and early 90's.
Sucks there's so little of it available on karaoke.

I wish they'd make "Bad day" on karaoke, I haven't been able to find it anywhere yet. Also ÜBerlin.

Indeed.
I also have Fall on Me and Radio Free Europe from an old SC disc. Pretty good versions, too.
The Legends disc has a few good one son it, too. But... it's a Legends disc.

I sing the Nightswimming track off the Legends disk here and there. Great song, and a pretty good karaoke version of it!

But, much like Everybody Hurts, I am incapable of making the 4-minute emotional commitment to it. Nothing sadder than a weeping karaoke singer/ host.
