SHOULD BE INTERESTING TO SEE IF THESE VENUES/DEFENDANTS ARE AWARE OF THE LATEST COURT RULINGS IN OTHER COURTS.

Oh that's right Donna dropped the ball not our fault. All just window dressing and saber rattling nothing more. They don't care about "saving face" and they don't care that they're going back into California because the objective of their company is "settlements" not "judgments." They want the unknowing to settle with them before they ever find out they don't really have to. A little education can go a long way.

yes LR, but we have berated them for inaction you can't go from inaction to hitting everyone in one shot. give credit for forward motion and let's see where it goes. i'm not holding my breath personally, but finally doing something is something.

Those were all set up for you all you had to do was refile them. Even out of this paltry number of suits you have filed, how many are you hoping will not go to court but rather be settled? The numbers would seem to favor the pirates since only a very small number will ever be sued. This goes back to all of this is just for show so you can sell a few more licenses, to the fearful.

At this point the key is whether they win rather than how many suits they file.
They really need to have their ducks in a row and set the precedent they want set in Missouri.

Why are you including a 'disclaimer' in this post? Really not such a bad idea since more than half the stuff posted on the net is pure garbage, and not very credible.

Agreed, but irrelevant to this post. "Better safe than sorry" (Really not such a bad idea) is garbage, too. Being informed is the better way to be. His 'disclaimers' don't mean a thing. 1. What if he DID know something about the cases? 2. What if he DID know any of the defendants? 3. For what other reason would he be posting here, other than to inform?

What if he DID know something about the cases? 2. What if he DID know any of the defendants? 3. For what other reason would he be posting here, other than to inform? For #'s 1 & 2: If I did know something about the cases or defendants, I would say so. If I knew them, I might be able to give some background, or I could at least tell you if I feel they deserve it or not. For #3: There is a lot of anti-PEP/SC feeling around here, and I have my own issues with PEP/SC but this list isn't one of them. It's just a where and when PEP filed cases against defendants. nothing more, nothing less. Those who wish to delve deeper into the listed cases at least have a starting point in which to do so. So why do I do this? There are plenty of reasons to post this information: 1) Most KJs aren't usually looking on Justia for any reason, so seeing it here puts the information closer to where it belongs. 2) These lawsuits affect the karaoke community, in both good and bad ways. 3) If I saw someone on the list I knew, I might inform them they they are about to have a legal issue on their hands, and hope you might too. 4) Maybe you might see that pirate you've been complaining about for years and feel a little better about the days to come. 5) Maybe you just want to know how much/little PEP is doing in your area. 6) While it is a tiny chance, maybe a pirate might change his stripes seeing someone HE knows got caught, and either goes legit, or gets out of the game. 7) Whatever you are thinking that I didn't cover. The bottom line is that hopefully someone finds the thread useful. As for the disclaimer, if you feel it's irrelevant, then for you, it is. I just put it there to be honest that I have no skin in any of these cases. If I did, I can assure you I'd have more to say about it one way or another.
