How much is PEP entertainment worth ? Are they making too much money off lawsuits to consider selling the brands CB & SC ? Just how much money could a defunct CB and SC brand be worth since its no longer in production?

If they would consider selling, a crowd funding site could be the answer, as many KJ's as there are in the world the money should be easily raised.

Just a thought.

Welcome to the 11th hour of the party, sir...

They have been there/done that, and all of your notions were dismissed relatively quickly. Just a bit of searching in thread subject history, and you can get the details...

They tried that - I believe 300 (pre) sales were basically needed in order to produce some new tracks, they didn't achieve that number.

I was talking about buying the actual copyright and names CB and SC from them, not them producing more music. I think charging someone for media shifting for something they own is about as crooked as you can get.

Everyone has their price, and if they would name their price , the money could be raised via a crowd funding site.

I wonder if Music Maestro Trademark is for sale? Shocked Pep doesn't grab that one.

The last I heard, some woman in the UK owns MM. I THINK it was mentioned here, somewhere.

So, in other words, southernsounds4u is talking about us KJs buying out the trademarks?? Hell I could get into that!! We could finally get rid of them, if we do that, and then media shift what we have without consequence. I'm in!!

Counselor?? How about some numbers?? You guys get to unload your trademark, and can then start a new venture. You could start a brand NEW Karaoke company, if you wanted. Although, I would think with your rules, in today's world, you wouldn't get too far. Hell, Kurt could go into music production. He would make a fortune. And Jim, you could find any number of other companies who are engaged in frivolous lawsuits, to get involved with.

I think the trade mark has gone undefended for too long now and is in "freeware" status.

The owners are American and live in California. They are also named in the Sony/EMI lawsuit as they gave their content to Tricerasoft to sell...

I would think a better avenue would be to somehow advocate to change the law that governs media shifting. I mean, if we own the cd and can play it from the cd, we should be able to play it from any media we want, as long as we own the original media. But have to pay the trademark owner to play it from media other than the original, that to me is a big problem. We should not have to 'pay to play.'

We'll start the bidding at $20 million.

Now all you guys do is to get every karaoke host in the country to crowd source the $20 mill.

Since there weren't 300 guys willing to invest $40 good luck with that one.

So you have three years of legitimate sales plus assets to make up anywhere near 20 mil? Remember, PEP doesn't own much music IP and the trademark is currently pretty much trashed. I'll give you a dollar.. LOL

Might as well be Iranian Rials based on it's current actual worth... which is about $646.00

But I can't really think of any other karaoke people here who would want to be you...

Question: Mr. Harrington, if you were on the outside looking in, how would you this as a profitable investment?

I don't think you could even give it away now if you wanted to because the value dropped out like a trap door a few days ago....

I know that I would want it about as much as leprosy....

Makes you wonder how many people caved in to the pressure over the last 6 years or so who now wished they hadn't. In the immortal words of Larry Bud Melman: "SO LONG SUCKERS"!!!
