Have there been any karaoke lawsuits in Colorado in the last year? Curious.

There have been thousands of lawsuits filed in Colorado in the last year.

If you are referring to Sound Choice lawsuits, however, there have been none in the last year.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I live here in CO and have no knowledge of there ever being a lawsuit filed here by SC or PEP.

I had suspicions 2 years ago that an investigation was ongoing here. I believe still that there was one that hit a snag. At the time I knew little to nothing about karaoke legalities and began to investigate, leading me to request an audit. I mentioned all of this to 2 other hosts and within a few short months the list of Certified and GEM leased KJs grew from 2 to 10 with the 8 new ones being right here in Denver Metro where I reside. They were not audited, only leasing the GEMs. I tend to believe some, if not all, of that growth was due to my publicizing to the 2 other hosts who spread the Word. Maybe PEP (defunct SC) should issue a thank you.

With that being said I still believe that there are only 2 totally legal hosts with all tracks by differing manus in their library in this state. Myself and Sandman in the Mountains.
