Went pretty smooth just took a lot of time to type disk numbers
I hope that more people will jump in.
I dont think it can hurt.

I'm glad you were able to sign up.

Frankly, I'm a little surprised that you haven't been joined by a wave of others. After we initially announced that the certification program was over, there were many howls of protest from people who had been planning (for years!) to get certified. So we opened it up again, and... not much response.

Maybe folks are getting their materials together.

Anyway, when we say that the program is open through May 16, we mean it. It costs money to keep this program open. If response is weak, we'll be forced to conclude that the market doesn't want it.

In my own case I'm dealing with a wife with pleurisy and 3 broken ribs, having to work overtime to make up for lost income and oh yeah-my income taxes are coming due.
There are probably things going on in other people's lives as well. Don't give up on us too fast.

I'm sorry to hear of your troubles. I'm not giving up on you...just wanted to make sure people were aware that this is a limited-time offer.

It should, but we haven't had any charges from Canada, so i don't know if it will work. If not, don't panic. We'll get it figured out.

I cannot believe that more people wont take advantage of this. Of course this is the only website online that talks about these issues-or do you know of others?
The piracy issue is largely ignored by the self-proclaimed experts in the D.J.-K.J. field.
Will the monthly fee to use product make lawsuits easier?

I am still mulling it over. Now I only have 38 discs because another one snapped in half. It sucks, I have lost 4 of my discs over the years.

I THINK that is one of the advantages (not positive) as long as you keep the broke discs, you can still use the digital files.

I have them. The problem is I can't extract the files off them, since they are broken. Not to mention that Harrington would rule them unusable, more than likely, and disqualify them.

Man i really hate computers sometimes. Just tried to pay for my certification. Website won't take either my debit visa OR my real one.

Called Brian and he said he would get back to me ASAP. We'll see what happens.

Man nothing karaoke related ever seems to go smoothly for me, I wonder if the universe is trying to tell me something *lol*

Sorry you're having trouble.

We think the problem is that the system doesn't like taking non-U.S. credit cards. We're looking into that aspect of it. But for now, you should be able to log back in and complete your application. We'll need to take the payment over the phone. I think Brian will call you for that, or you can call us, but there's no hurry.

yes Brian did call me, and managed to take the payment manually. So now i just need to find time to type in the actual disc numbers *hopefully*

well that and i will need to figure out what the heck my skype id is.. haven't used it in almost 5 years. *lol*

-James

edit : just finished entering in all my discs. relatively painless process, just a little time consuming if you have a large collection. Me, i am still under 100 discs *i think* so it wasn't too bad

Do I have to have to have them named any sort of way?? When I do my rips I just use artist-title. I have my own numbering system.

Ya you enter them in by the disc number on the disc. In my case, i just had a whole bunch of custom cdgs so for those i did put in my own disc number.

Can I re-number them afterwards? I have my own numbering system, that works better for me.

actually now that i think about it, i suppose you could type in your own disc numbers because thats exactly what i did for my custom discs.. Dont know what phoenix would say about it.. your prolly better off emailing them.

The disc list in the online system is only for us to know what discs you have so that the audit can proceed. You can number your discs however you like for your own use.

Thanks, that's good to know.
