Hi Extreme Poster -Chris I am interested in buying, can you get any discontinued ones. I have a list which I need to get discs for. I can get you the list if you need to see which songs I am looking for. I just bought out a system from DJ/KJ and the hard drive that was included is filled with over 500,000 songs. I just need to be legal. He has mostly sound choice you can contact me at kengorenc@gmail.com

It will be cheaper and faster than finding discs that match your hard drive content. There haven't been 500,000 karaoke songs made since the beginning of karaoke.

I never said I bought 500,000 karaoke songs, it's a mix between KJ and DJ.

Chances someone in possession of a 500,000 song hard drive never uses an illegal track and spends tens of thousands of dollars + to possess the KJ and DJ songs with the discs? ZERO!
Sorry, but it is going to cost a small fortune to make that drive legal. Are you going to literally buy karaoke tracks and most of the popular MP3 DJ tracks to be 1-1 with 500,000 tracks? Even if the karaoke tracks and MP3s average $0.20 a track, that's $100,000.00.

I never said I bought 500,000 karaoke songs, it's a mix between KJ and DJ. So lets give you a very liberal 50,000 paid for karaoke tracks. That leaves 450,000 paid for music only tracks? Can you understand why someone might be doubtful? I know DJ's that have been DJ's since the 80's and none of them have a 1/2 Million songs on a hard drive at their disposal. Maybe via a subscription service, but not that they own outright.

Globalsolutions, did he give you any discs at all when he sold you the drive? if he did then you just need to fill gaps, if not, then the whole drive is illegal and you will spend Much less starting from scratch buying what you need.

Hi Super Duper Poster
Yes legal discs were included, I also know how to buy regular DJ music cheap.
I have been a marketer for years, this ain't my first rodeo for buying products.

Hi to all,
I don't know why we are in a debate. Believe or don't believe, I really don't care.
I answered the post to buy music, either lets conduct business or not.
though I am stopping this debate.

In answer to the OP -
I am not selling any discs at this point. Too much future expansion on my radar.
I use eBay, Craigslist, and as you mentioned, buy out retiring hosts. Those are the cheapest way to acquire lots of music in bulk. Beyond that and you are buying in smaller quantities at higher prices.

Help is always appreciated I can say with high certainty that when I do start selling off discs it will be discs that - IN MY OPINION - are brands that no discerning KJ would ever want. I pretty much stick to Sound Choice, Pioneer, Pop Hits Monthly, KaraokeVersion, SBI, Sunfly, Zoom these days. I have found that I can do without Chartbuster though I am keeping them just in case I start working some country themed venues. That means what I will be selling off will be the Monster Hits, Music Maestro, Nikkodo, Nutech, SAV, and various other brands that should never have been produced in the first place. Look for some pristine DK 1-99 sets to hit eBay in the next month or so.

In response to the OP, we are currently waiting for information from one of our colleagues (jclaydon) but the possibility exits that SC is beginning to reproduce older discs based on a conversation with an SC employee. Again, until either information from jclaydon or confirmation is given by Jim Harrington, this is only a possibility. Why not wait a few days for a definitive answer?

I don't have any information for you about new production or re-production, but if you are looking for specific discs, anything that SC has licensed and available can be purchased by calling the company at the number on the website. SC might also be able to accommodate you through used discs it has taken in trade, even if those discs are out of print as originals.

As Joe stated, I was the one who posted about the 8532 disc I recieved that was burned. Sent you an email. I will try and see if I can figure out a different way to post a picture because the upload method doesn't work for me -James

If I did, I would immediately think it is bogus. I am going to grab the pic and send it to Kurt.

I have confirmed it with Kurt, and we will be looking into it further.
