You can go on Sunfly's website currently and purchase a Sunfly disc. And Sunfly say's according to them you can use their product commercially. My question Is it legal to play in the U.S. thanks

Kuelman is kind of off a bit. In the UK, where Sunfly is produced, they may be able to grant such permissions. Here in the U.S., NO karaoke producer can grant permissions for use in a U.S. based show. However, if you are original manufacturers' disc based, rather than PC, your LEGAL liability is darn near zero, though publisher/owners can always call for a Cease and Desist.

Not anything I would worry about. Use the Sunfly. Enjoy the sunfly, but listen to it before you buy. Much of the sunfly was crap. Check out SBI and Zoom. SBI does reasonably well on Rock and Country. Zoom does very well on Pop, and some rock.

Agreed. Prior to the Legends buy/partnership Sunfly was worse than Backstage. Zoom is awesome ( except for Beatles, as far as I know) and one of the best producers out there.

Yeap, Zoom is by far the best karaoke producer out there  But the best audio tracks (not karaoke) for solo performer, are from Paris Music, and their tracks are available on Itunes for $0.99 8) You'll never play a SC track after playing these...

Since around 2008 or 09, Sunfly USES SBI tracks - so exactly the same musically for everything produced since then! However alot of SBI's early stuff also used the same music as Sweet Georgia Brown & Music Maestro - so beware of that as well - also I even have heard some ZOOM tracks that used SBI outsourced music.

Maybe the early stuff, but not what they have been pumping out, lately.

Actually I cannot remember which song it was, but it was in fact a newer song. I ended up just getting the SBI version.

I always listen to them before I buy them, but so far I haven't found any Zoom duds.

I never said it was a dud, just that it was identical musically to SBI.
But you want a Zoom dud, Civil War - Guns N Roses is an epic fail - which by the way is in fact the same music as Karaoke Version instrumental, they just do not have the graphics version out!

Glad you told me that. I had my eye on that one. Patience came out REALLY good. What a shame.

And Zoom will often do a "radio version" or shorter version of a song. Watch the singer start to go into the chorus on Gotye's "Somebody I Used To Know" when really the second verse is coming up instead. They also left out the "controversial" verse on "Money For Nothing" so it basically has the first verse and then the chorus repeated over and over again.

Yeah, which sucks. I forgot I bought that one. I was quite disappointed with it.
