Does anybody know their status? I'd like to scoop up some of the disc deals still going on with Karaoke Warehouse but I'll be danged if I want to buy them and then pay to use them. Any news? |

I'll continue to use them and buy them. If I need to pay, then I will - I had planned on it before they shut down. Will have to wait and see. There has been nothing stated as far as I can tell as to what's going to happen as far as shifting with the new TM holders. However if their new entity is suing those using them (shifted) w/o a chance to certify, that would P me off! |

It's taking them so long to get things settled and get information out to the customers, it's getting a bit ridiculous. People rely on that product and need to know what the status of it is. |

we took advantage of some SUPER deals right before they stopped selling.....We expect to have a need to undergo an audit by whom ever when they get it straightened out . At this point my advise would be....... to jump on your bargains now and be ready to provide your discs at audits in the future......or dont if you are anti-audit It is my opinion the costs on CB are most likely at rock bottom.....I do not see costs going any way but up....this closing will not be like any other we have seen,,,,,huge numbers of discs will not be seen flooding the discount sellers, Remaining stock had to be destroyed at the end of the last sale date. I know this is about Chartbuster, but I just wanted to remind everyone that the overseas brands such as Zoom, Sunfly, and Capital (Australia) are still readily available ( have received from each this last month). As long as you buy single discs ( rather than bulk for distribution) they will still happily send them to you. No embargo against singleton buys. EDIT for repairs: Sticky keys, especially "A" and "T". Old lappy... |

Joe is correct on the last issue singleton buys are still legal from overseas |

KJMP. I have the locked songs safely offline and my more than 1100 credits I purchased at $.60 a song are also safely offline. Unlikely I will ever buy another Chartbuster CDG. |

Not only that, no business, even our own, would hasten their demise by saying to their core customers "Things suck horribly around here. We will probably be out of business soon." It serves no purpose. Even that failing restaurant in town says "Things are great!" right up until they close their doors. |

Supposedly it was a hostile takeover and not a conspiracy on the part of CB. They thought they would be working with Digitrax, not being eliminated by them. And from experience, when there is a change in ownership sometimes the employees are the last to know. |

Neither I, nor the employees knew corporate office filed for Chapter 11 until the very last minute. Early Sunday morning, the manager called me to remove my equipment as they were going to padlock their doors. So, Gretchen probably was just posting what she’s been told; that everything was fine & dandy. |

I wish to post a clarification, and an apology to Gretchen for a misunderstanding: When I said I had trust issues, I wasn't directing my comment at Gretchen's integrity. For that misunderstanding, again my apologies. What I meant was just as others posted. The information that the posted was incorrect because the information that she was privvy to was incorrect. In other words, I don't trust what she posts because I'm not sure that she is far enough into the corporate loop for it to be correct. At no time did I mean that she was purposely posting misinformation. |

Hey all. Been awhile. I'm settled in here in the great white north and have my first Canadian gig tonight. I touched base with Digitrax to see if they would be able to give me any credit towards their product as I was one of the lucky KJMP owners who got stuck a lot of unused credits, over 1100 for me. I was basically told by Gretchen that,,,,, well here is the actual quote "Unfortunately the company that sold you the credits is completely out of business. DigiTrax Entertainment does own the rights to the Chartbuster catalog but that is all. We cannot issue any new credits or discounts." I might be a sour puss but I won't be buying any Digitrax product. We all know it was a name change for a big part of the whole switcharoo. Anyone want to buy my KJMP harddrive? What's the newest as far as obtaining karaoke music. Other than Digitrax please. |

Chartbuster is no longer in business and owners of DT never did sell you the media drive with the Chartbuster branded product. Also, DT does not hold licensing for any Chartbuster branded product. When CB shut down all licenseing agreements with publishers stopped. DT has had to go and seek its own new licensing of songs in the original CB library (the old CB library has not been completly relicensed to date by DT). The PRLLc group only old the rights to the CB brand and logo but is prohibited from selling any old CB stock. Their purpose is to continue to protect the Logo and Brand from being pirated and abused. The principals that created Digitrax never worked at Chartbuster (although some of the non owner employees now are employees of DT). The original CB owners have ZERO involvement within the DT Group. The former owner of CB is now operating a small recording studio from his home and is calling himself Chartbuster (not sure if he is doing that legally) but he is not creating any Karaoke tracks. Your displeasure with DT might be unfounded so I suggest you might cut them some slack. I too got hung with unused credits. You do know you can probably write that off as a loss on you taxes only if you can not use them. |

None of that needed to be said. I understand all that. To me it's a matter of good faith. They can obviously see I'm a big potential customer. I would have done a lot of biz with them Rumbolt. Now that figure will be zero. Guaranteed! |
