Just a question to those who have been purchasing songs I saw a listing on eBay, it was the DK millennium super cdg. 900 songs for 100 dollars. Says its brand new. Now that seems to be a good price for the product but that's my worry is that it's too good of a price. What do you think? Thanks |

The Super CDG's however are more in the price range you quoted. Having said that, I'm not sure if the SCDG's were ever licensed properly. |

Thanks I'd say it's too good to be true, since the actual original CDG DK Millenium sets USED still command anywhere from $800-1200. Same songs. Plus what I understand is they are ripped at 128, not very quality sound there. |

Plus, it's my understanding that DK never put out an SCDG, so whatever you would be getting would be a reproduction. |

That even makes me more leary, DK didn't produce anything in the 2000's other than repackaged lines breaking them down into more group genre like songs over their 18 disc mix of anything. |

I know a guy who bougt a KJ's entire CDG collection for pennies on the dollar from the dead guys wife after the KJ passed away. The deal was too good to be true but legal in every way; as were every one of the discs. Sometimes you just find a great deal on something and the people who paid full price have to cast a dark shadow on it. You all ought to listen to a song called Riding With Private Malone. The guy in the song buys a "66 Corvette for a thousand dollars. WHAT A SUCKER! HUH? |

(Source was a karaoke discs manufacturer). Then months later after they were on the market, we heard that they were not licensed and the low prices on them were getting rediculous. A manufacturer stated they spoke with an owner of dk who verified that they never made a deal with anyone. So as always, the entire world is confused over what is what. Because of the recent research, questioning, unraveling we have done, as of 2011, we would not nor will not ever consider providing that disc to any consumer. In fact, the ONLY scdg discs we feel comfortable selling is the ones DIRECTLY from Cavs or PHM. What we have learned which will help you answer your own question: ANY and ALL discs on the market. Unless it is some discontinued original cdg, QUESTION where it comes from. Example; These new fast trax disc. Since it is a new release. WHERE is the manufacturer's website? WHO owns the company? WHY is there NO listed trademark on record? Because we cannot answer these questions, we will NEVER sell a fast trax disc! This is our new approach to making decisions on which brands we will sell to a consumer. We truly care about the impact piracy / unfair competition is doing to this market and as we learn more, we are more than happy to show this level of caring through our postings. |

Nobody is going to bother you over these discs, since DK is no longer working in this country. If, someday, SC or another mfr buys the catalog then you might have to worry. BTW, they are at 192kb/s not 128. The sound quality is just fine. |

I just received an e-mail last month (from a Karaoke Vendor) that Fast Trax has now changed their name again. I can't remember what it is being called now, and I trashed the e-mail (since I have no interest in FT (because they are of extremely poor quality)). |

At this point we feel that if we cannot personally verify the discs through the manufacturer and the people that was rumored to have made them are not willing to say they did. Then it is yet another slap in the face of your vendors and kj's. |

We spoke with a few major disc sellers and information suggest you are 100% correct that fast traxx and quick hitz are one in the same. Due to all unanswered questions, we suggest that people fight the urge to purchase those discs. If we as a dealer are now refusing to sell them, then hopefully that too will give the kj the strength to demand verfiication on any discs they purchase. It hurts our business not to sell these disc when everyone else is, yet have made the tough decision not to. The only monthly hits we sell is PHM. They are the only new hits manufacturer that has over a decade of history, they made the tracks, registered trademark. |

Thanks for the feedback on that issue. We BOLDLY challenge the producer of these discs to step forward. Until then, we will not sell them. Thanks again to the members of Karaokescene for allowing us to give a retailers point of view on what we experience. I would like to think we are rare in the sense that everything we do is from the heart. MADPROAUDIO Ex Military - Family owned and operated |

I can honestly tell you that before I was ever exposed to being on the front lines of this industry, I could never truly relate to a persons anguish over piracy issues. It took being in those shoes in order to find absolute appreciation for the subjects. I have friends wanting to give me bootleg movies before they are released and do you know that I cannot blame the average person for never thinking twice about the effect piracy can have. Nor do I have ill will toward them. It's tough turning down a free movie! Yet the direct link to all the harm we have had to endur is what changes ones perspective. Don't hate those that do not feel the severity of it, and don't hate those who are effected by it and fight harder to stop it. |
