This is the kind of action I've been wanting to see.

The judgement also calls for the surrender of all accounting records. Those records of sales to other KJs are the kind of proof that should be used to demonstrate to a venue that their KJ is operating illegally.

How many crooks do you think keep accounting records?

And how is these monies going to be paid?

It's fine that the HD seller was stopped, but he/she will be back in business soon.. They are CROOKS!

Glass agreed to the settlement so if they don't pay, can they go to jail?

Even I have no problems with this one. A distributor gets nailed? Hell, I'll even do Athena's Happy Dance...

Unfortunately, unless jail is an option, she WILL be back, and others like her.

JD, you'd be surprised how many criminals keep books, especially in larger criminal organizations (clients, incomes, expenses). If they didn't, they wouldn't know what is what.

As for collecting, I'm pretty sure SC would have checked the financials/assets before agreeing to a settlement.

I doubt that there is any money for sounchoice to collect.

Since the defendant agreed to the order, that might indicate a behind-the-scenes agreement that helps them avoid paying.

I think the records represent the best asset they can offer to SC and will probably lead to plenty of collectable and profitable settlements.

Not really that important.
They want a high figure to dangle in front of others.

Will someone please give this to soundchoice.
http://www.mtbkaraoke.com/harddrives.html

It has been going quite a long time.
The fact that it is in England should not be a problem to them.
The site advertises one KJ who it possibly is.

I honestly wouldn't know who to report it to here.
No one seems to give a sh!t
The cops all have limewire.

Don't forge their legal disclaimer.....

That should work.

 Can’t help notice the “Best Buy” electronics store logo displayed below the buy now portion. Is he trying to say BB is one of his sponsors or just a claim that this is the best buy for the money? Ahhh, a pirate is a pirate!

I still want to hear the aftermath of this one.... In other words, I want to hear about all the HDs that HAVE BEEN (not WILL BE) destroyed as a result of this settlement.

Unfortunately, unless jail is an option, she WILL be back, and others like her.

The threat of jail is one reason why she agreed to certain terms (they are confidential). Yes, she is the FIRST of such characters to fall. And yes we are beginning to comb through her records now. For obvious reasons we are being very secretive about our actions and won't make any comments about any "victories" (even when they become public, like this one) since some potential defendants may be tied together. As far as "being back", since there is a permanent injunction against her, any violation against a court order would be in contempt of court and we would ask the judge to be harsh with her - which could include jail time if the judge wanted to rule that way. Stealing from another citizen or company is one thing, but pissing off the judge and not respecting the Court is much worse in the eyes of most judges.

This is very cool! Now get back to making music and also hook up with Invicion like Chartbuster did! There's easy money there for you to pick up!
