Karaoke Forums

The bar where I do karaoke has paid their ASCAP fees. They were recently contacted by BMI to pay another fee. I was under the (apparently wrong) impression that one fee covered both organizations. Are there other organizations that require fees from bars for karaoke?

There are actually three they need to pay. ASCAP/BMI/SESAC. Paying ASCAP only covers anything recorded under the ASCAP blanket (so to speak).
