...any word on when Sound Choice is going to start producing discs again? It seems like this lawsuite process could go on for quite awhile.

Sound Choice has no plans to produce new releases at this time.

The last time I spoke with Kurt in March, we discussed future releases and how they should be put into the market with protection for everyone who plays fair. After our face-to-face conversation, I believe that one could reasonably infer that there are plans to begin producing karaoke again.

I don't know if Joe C spoke with Kurt since then and got another impression or if this is just his standing on the issue.

Strange as it seems, yes, I finally got Kurt on the phone. While we avoided certain subjects in order to keep the conversation civil, it was my impression that no new release are forthcoming.

I will say that if this were to happen, SC would have to pay all the U.S. licensing fees, which are much greater than the fees required to produce in the UK, and many more permissions are required. I don't believe SC is ready or planning to go through both the process and the financial layout at this time.
