Earthling and Lepardlizard, Thank you for getting what it was that I was trying to get accross I understand that there are those who feel that it would be better IF SC were to sue under copyright law instead of Trademark law. I also know that there are reasons that they choose to go this route but am not an expert as to all the ins and outs.That might be a subject to bring up for discussion with Harrington Law. Personally I wish the federal and state governments would get involved and bring criminal court charges as well

A few years ago Party Tyme/Sybersound attempted to sue some other karaoke companies for unfair competition because they were able to sell their songs for less due to not obtaining licensing. The judge ruled that only the original copyright owner could sue for damages relating to copyright so Party Tyme was unable to proceed. I have always wondered if that left SC no other option but trademark.
