Right AND Wrong. You're WRONG because the "first mention" was in the title that "specifically excluded SC" before Atty. Harrington ignored that and jumped in anyway. What part of "NON/SC" confuses you?

And, you're right because "the mention" was not done by Harrington. But that didn't matter. Either way, it's still not an invitation for him to offer a menu of services from "American manufacturers" and then verbally abuse the poster because he didn't like the content.
It really wouldn't have mattered how many times thewraith would have "mentioned" SC, their trolling activities or anything else -- the thread specifically excluded them from the conversation which was about Canada.

(1) Your "fact" isn't one unless you're talking about Harrington's post and,
(2) There's nothing to "like" or "dislike" about it tough guy. Your facts simply aren't facts.

Yea i was thinking the same thing. Th8s isnt for everyone to slam Chip or Jim. This is so they can take quotes and bring them here to discuss only to keep other thread clean of their arguements.

I hope not. I WANT everyone to participate here. I can live without the "one-liner insults" but I certainly want people to participate.

I believe that there are more people out there that silently agree with more of my views than they'd care to admit, but they don't want to respond because they don't want to be on you-know-who's radar.

(Here's a tip: If you "register your library" in order to avoid being sued, you're paying them and registering yourself on the radar.)

And it's hard to argue with documentation to back up statements, something that I've been known to do for years, but which has always been sorely lacking from the "Corp. Officer/Marketing VP/Head Attorney" representative.

So let me see if I understand this.....

Chip has been banned....more than once. Each time allowed to come back and repeat the same behavior.
Chip requests (and receives) a forum specifically so he can continue to do the exact thing that he has been banned for in the past.

I believe it is time to start looking at other forums where rules aren't tweaked in favor of disruptive influences. I encourage everyone else to do the same.

I would hope that everyone would participate, (including you) but if you leave it's your choice, not mine. It's really a shame that it's come down to this. If the majority of the people haven't figured out by now that all Chip does is contradict everything Jim says, well then they should come play in the sandbox too and continue to be confused. Too bad Chip rarely, if ever, has any positive input or any input that is not SC related.

I won't speak for the GEM series but as a disc owner, I can't ever see a problem where I won't be able to use the media shifted discs under the current terms after an audit. It's really that simple. If they change their terms that somehow adversely affect the people using media shifted product with permission, I would think it could spark a class action lawsuit if enough people are affected.

My final contribution to this debacle, then I am going to let everyone else duke it out......

My initial "infinite likes" was a knee jerk reaction. After some thought, I see it for what it really is - Management bending the rules for one particular person. A person they know is disruptive. A person they have banned multiple times for the very behavior they have now designated an area specifically for. A person that has driven away other posters. A person with one and only one agenda.

Chip, unlike the other people you have driven away from this and other forums, you are not the reason I am choosing not to participate. I am bowing out because of how the message board is being managed. Management has to make decisions on how to manage things and sometimes has to modify the rules to accommodate changing conditions. Changing the rules to accommodate one person goes to far. Giving someone an official area in which to sling mud is going to far. Overlooking, if not encouraging the very behavior that once got a person banned is going to far.

Management obviously feels that keeping Chip around is more important than losing other contributors.

The sparring that goes on is not considered, by me, to be pointless. Neither does it serve as a bad example. I have learned from both (Pro & Anti) things and conditions I was previously unaware of.

I may take exception to the dirty politics each has resorted to (remember Karl Rowe), still I believe that I am able to make accurate notation of things noted by each that I can use in my business. If any of that makes any sense?
