I've never had a problem with TLR or his posts. Whether or not I've always agreed with what he had to say, I've always respected his opinion. As someone else pointed out, he never spoke harshly about anyone. I vote to reinstate him.

I second that vote. I've read these forum post for years and have commented very little ... but I do read. His banning is personal. Plain and simple. I could name several that should be banned for the way they attack and disrespect other posters but they seem to share this forums views (by that I mean: The MODS POV).

TLR ruffles a lot of feathers on this forum. The fun part to me is watching all of you take time out of your day to continually respond. YOU LOVE IT !! You will spend hours rehashing the same drivel just to make a point. Isn't that all he was doing? Making a point. His point. His opinion or philosophy. The one that doesn't sit well with you.

It would be nice for a change to see someone on the other side of the fence get banned or suspended. I admit that I don't read EVERY post but I come by this place every day, have for years, and feel like I know all of you. I know the players and the game. I call BS !!

And by the way ... thank you for the daily laughs over the years. There's more than TLR here that can be full of it on a daily basis. If that ruffles your feathers then I must have touched a nerve. Long live free speech and the right to offend others. Merry Christmas and God Bless the USA !!

It's funny no one remembers or boo hoos for all the PRO SC people that have been banned and many that still are. Thunder being one that comes to mind.

Lon. As I said, I have only been reading this site a couple of years. The name Thunder rings a bell and I know I have seen him mentioned but can't say I have seen a post by him since I started visiting. My comment was only in reference to my time visiting this site.

That's just it, people claim it's because of an anti SC stance - it's not. But it doesn't matter, everyone will continue to believe that is the reason so there is no point in explaining. Pro SC people HAVE in fact been banned as well for the same reasons.

I'm not on the fence either way. For or Against. There does seem to be a clear line drawn for most though. Whether TLR, or anyone else for that matter, is ever allowed to post again will not effect my daily. I just failed to see the reason for this particular person to be banned. I've read the post. What am I missing?

I admit that I can not recall any PRO SC poster being banned but I can recall several people who voice their opinions against SC being banned. (For the record, I don't believe Harrington Law has ever had a hand in anyone being banned and find it funny that anyone would suggest it.)

This ongoing "SC", "piracy", "media-shifting" debate seems to get the best of some people at times and maybe they become a little over the top and deserve a cool down period. I've seen some post get heated. Maybe I am missing something here but this one doesn't seem to be along those lines.

It wasn't a specific post, it was a combination of incidents over time. Just like all the banned. They do not ban willy nilly, it's usually multiple incidents and warnings. I do not know what the banning time frame is in this case.

Thunder was abusive - - more than abusive.

Lonman is accurate..
I banned him for failing to acknowledge we have simple rules here.. and he is required to follow them..

As for you djjeffross, perhaps you need to apply for the position of site mod.

You seen to have a solid knowledge of things..
Oh, also you were not consulted? HOW RUDE..

Hey Joe,

I've got a new one I'll sell you, but just remember if you ever want to wear it anywhere, it's trademarked and.... Bwahahaha!!!!!!

:rotflmao:

Seriously though, I agree with Bird, Thunder and others on both sides of the issue, could be and were often very abusive, whereas Ranger was basically just repetitive, sometimes to the point of being absurd (skim, nothing new, NEXT), but I don't remember him ever being really nasty. I don't see what was ban able in his last post, so for what it's worth, my vote is to reinstate. :2cents:

Mr.Jdmeister, sir, I am sure being a site mod is outside my scope of abilities. I won't waste anyone's time, especially my own, by applying for such a thankless position.

I appreciate you acknowledging your oversight but consulting me is not necessary. I was only stating my opinion and commenting on what I have seen during my visits to this site. Again, it is quite apparent how one is treated when their views do not coincide with the majority.

So ... with that all cleared up ... I will take a powder from this debate and wait until this thread is moved somewhere else. The OP seems to have gotten off track.

@earthling... All I will say about all of this is, I'm glad you're NOT one of the Moderators here. You took all of those quoted examples totally OUT OF CONTEXT. I seriously doubt that TLR was banned for any of the quotes you just showed everyone.

As for the first two quotes of TLR's statements, I don't believe he formally SUBMITTED anything to anyone of authority (meaning Government). His use of the word SUBMITTED was incorrect. He was referring to one (or several) of his past post/s about what he believed would be a solution (thus he meant to say POSTED, not SUBMITTED as evidenced by the last word in that quote... REMEMBER?). And, not for nothing but, if the content of what you DID USE as your examples was the reason for TLR's being banned, then it should have also resulted in the banning of someone else. And your best quote yet, was from someone who had already been banned SEVERAL TIMES. Yup... that person's quote would carry a lot of weight around here.
