i wouldn't even care if it was $3-4 for a track.
-james Yes. It will run $2.99 track. Paradigm was the very first customer. You can ask him how he likes it.

These don't: "Ballad of a dog named Stains" "You Promised the Moon" "The Two Gay Irishmen" "I Wanna Polka, Polka" I've sung "Ballad of a Dog Named Stains" several times, and people have loved it... except for one KJ who I know (who is a prude), of which I sang it at is show for spite/revenge one night (yes... he was fuming... LMFAO!!!).

We're working on releasing his entire catalog in an MP3+G format (and possibly disc format too) on an individual track basis. Just like karaokeversion.com except of course, these won't be re-recorded versions.
He's got a new Christmas song, so we'll see how it works out. His material is not for the faint-of-heart and I doubt that Lonman will be able to use very many.... if any at all. But they are hilarious!
Obviously, there's a few tracks "already in the can" so to speak. The web site is already in the works, and the url repeterskaraoke.com is already registered. Will we have to go thru an audit?

Not yet.... just send money.... Let me know if you need the address... However, just in case it appears elsewhere; Red is notifying PRS in the U.K. and Australia (and whoever else is necessary) that he does NOT under any circumstances license his material (anymore or ever again) for karaoke use. He is maintaining complete control over the karaoke distribution and if it didn't come from him to start with, it's not legal.

With his former publishing company I doubt Doug or any other songwriter would know to whom the licence was sold to. All they would get would be their cheques. So it is quite conceivable that SC did pay their licences for his (and the cowriters) music.

He is quite aware of the licensing of his songs, and you're right -- Sound Choice did license the materials...3 YEARS after Sound Choice put the product out with his songs...and only AFTER they were called on the fact that they had produced the songs without permission. This is not a case of "Oops, I just don't know what's going on with my music." This is not Aerosmith or Bon Jovi. This is a guy with a relatively small operation, who KNEW nobody had licensed his music for Karaoke. Nice try, though.

For those interested: Red Peters says he should have the e-commerce site up in approx. a month. (I think it will take a perhaps 2, but we'll see).
I've been inundated with music... And, I've got the following songs done and although some of them have been produced by other manufacturers in the past, you still can't beat the original studio track minus the lead singer.
The ones that have been completed that HAVE been out for some time is "You Promised The Moon" and "Bl*w Me, You Hardly Even Know Me."
Besides "The Closing Song" which is a favorite of a number of hosts, servers and bartenders, "The Two Gay Irishmen" is really hilarious - no profanity or politically incorrect content, but definitely adult content - and then "The Spelling Song" which has a part for all the ladies to sing as well.
(Hey, JDMeister: The advertising tab here doesn't work yet.... I need some advertising info... can you forward it?)

yup, all singing along. thm being able to see the words got a lot of layughs from the new people, and the regulars scrambled to see when i got it "i thought it wasn't on karaoke". i had a great time with it, so did they, it became a full on singalong even more than usual.

Just finished remastering "I Wanna Polka Polka!" for commercial use....
I think (correct me if I'm wrong here) it's the FIRST "singable KARAOKE polka song" because I've never seen one. And there is a HUGE Polish population here in Detroit.
The song is pretty much a geography lesson on U.S. cities that have some sort of double entendre meaning set to a classic polka beat. Like "things went ASKEW in Mississippi" or " we took a little trip to Love Canal (NY)" or French Lick, Indiana or even Climax, Michigan.
But alas, there's no reference to Hippo (KY), Kermit (TX) or even Bucksnort, (TN)

I'm very excited about this, and plan to buy several tracks once the site is up. I'm all about supporting karaoke tracks directly from the artist and have purchased a lot from Jonathon Coulton. Right on Red! (and thanks Chip!)

I think Red should purchase some ad space here on Karaoke Scene for all this free publicity!

I see the site is live, but i can't seem to complete a purchase as it keeps asking me for a zip-code, yet there is no place to enter a zip-code.
Is it just me or is this still in Beta?

Is it just me or is this still in Beta? They are still working on it.... There currently is a total of 22 of his songs as soon as it's ready to go. They have two developers working on it..... for different "looks" and one is in England and the other in California... I guess they are waiting to "unveil" the winner...
