This again brings up a point I have tried to make before: The laws are what they are. Companies make rules to govern their product. Some of said rules may be moot in regards to legal usage by the consumer. Others may be in violation of consumer rights. Rules that are instituted which put a consumer's legal standing in question must have full backing of the law to be legitimate. If they do not, they must be called into question. Companies work with AND around the legal positioning of the rules every day, and consumers should be allowed to do the same...
