I doubt the manufacturers have anything to do with NKA.

What's been posted here is the first I've heard of NKA, and to my knowledge SC has nothing to do with it. But I will ask.

I also thought it was quite funny that they have a Forum set up, and it's only got one post in there (from July 1st) about Stellar going bankrupt... not only that, but it was from someone named "Anonymous." AMAZING!!!!

I think it's insane that KJ's have to pay more per year than venues. I personally think the pricing structure should be the reverse on the KJ's and the Venues. No way I'm paying $100 to join.

Just a reminder that my original question is about any mfr., not aimed at just SC. When Jim does get an answer regarding SC, I will thank him and move on, as my thoughts on the subject are known. Would have been a lot easier going, but at least Jim will put it out there.

I think they were having problems with the sound. I was expecting a throw down party with at least refreshments. It was a little boring. Yea I agree the party did drag. There was a last minute change regarding sponsorship of the party and his system did not have the volume of songs that were supposed to be there. I can tell you that it won't be the case next time.

Still would like to know who the "key players" mentioned on the site would be.
The Executive Board seems to include 2 non-entities in the field - at least to me ( Hal Kinney and Paul Latorre) and a guy named William Beasley III who, if I recall, is always trying to head up some "association" or another ( either DJ or Kj ) always wiith bad results. I believe others in his area have posted somewhat unfavorably about his previous efforts. If he is the guy I remember, he is more interested in being an org boss than actually accomplishing anything.
ADDENDUM: Yup, Beasley is the guy I remember. Confirmed. May have been Skid who first posted about him. He has attempted to start several orgs of which he would be the head, and left a path of discontent in his wake each time. He is also primarily an event DJ. not much in the way of Karaoke expertise compared to most of the posters here.
I'm hoping he isn't considered a "key player ", but there he is on top of the exec list....

And yet you refuse to clarify to set the record straight. Being evasive with details doesn't make folks want to join an organization, it makes it seem like you have something to hide. Have somebody correct all the grammar and typos on the web site, that way, at least you won't sound ignorant.

This org is still in its formation. Attempting to set a course that will best serve the Whole of the karaoke community.

As of this moment I don't have details to share, otherwise I would. We would not be having these discussions had it not been for several doubting and denigrating the work of several individuals working very hard to put this org into play all the while having no REAL information to the contrary. Nothing happens overnight. Have an awesome day!
