HI, I'm an old-timer here and haven't posted in quite awhile, but do troll the boards on an all most daily basis. So...........this is my FIRST new topic submission on the Legalities & Piracy forum. This morning I came across this ad on the Portland, Oregon (source of ALL Karaoke goodness) Craigslist "Artists" board, https://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/ats/5497900853.htmlThis is a bar in Gresham, Oregon that is featuring what I think says is KARAFUN ONLINE as it's source of Karoake songs. To me this would be the equivalent of using YouTube as a song source (and we all know how well THAT worked out) Guess you don't even need to buy a pirate harddrive!

Yep. Someone opened up a show near me. The venue pays them and provides the PA and music. It's doing okay. The guy is a friend. They're using Karafun.

They only have one little problem... they have lots of songs in their service not licensed in the USA...so I suspect there will be a few adjustments to their library

Karafun is the absolute best way to start. They now have 23000+ song and Singers love the quality. Go for it! Karafun Pro is all you need. Cheers!

But as KSF pointed out many of their songs are not licensed for US use and may be cut back to reflect that. KSFGROUP wrote: They only have one little problem... they have lots of songs in their service not licensed in the USA...so I suspect there will be a few adjustments to their library

Karafun uses KV songs. So far,no one has bothered them about pulling songs.

I've been using Karafun at all my shows for approx 5 months now and haven't noticed any dropped songs. I did forget to mention in an earlier post that Karaoke.net is another awesome source for buying tracks (new or old) that also import and play perfect in the Karafun player software. In reply to another post mentioned in this thread... No I didn't offer to expand more knowledge on the karafun player because I don't want to hijack the OP's thread. I can go on and on about the new optimized version (much faster) and more features to come... but we all know I won't stop if I get started.
