People who are apathetic are worse than people who take a stand one way or the other. They want the benefit, if there is one, with no risk.

I would argue your opinion regarding apathetic people, but I really don't care enough...

Simple, what I do now, I take a stand.

8) That is easy to do if you know for sure what side is going to win. During times of civil war noble families protected their vast estates and wealth by having one son fighting on each side. That way no matter who won the family would continue and secure their wealth. Not everyone likes to gamble, by using this example it would be like betting the pass line and the don't pass line at the same time.
But what if they ONLY HAD 1 Son? :ppfftt: :ppfftt: :ppfftt: :ppfftt: :ppfftt:

8) Most families at that time had large numbers of children, so many died in child birth. A man's wealth was not only based on just his material wealth, but on the number of offspring he had to work and develop his material wealth in those days which consisted mainly of land. If you were noble and only had one son you could marry off your daughters to rival houses to insure your line. Also there is what was called the cadet branch of the family male heirs of brothers or cousins or uncles that also could be used in playing both sides. There is more than one way to protect a family fortune.

i wish I had the courage of my convictions, but unfortunately for me, there is a girl I am head over heels in love with involved. That's the only reason I support one pirates show.
