Since there is really only ONE company that is trying to enforce THEIR media shifting policy, why are people concerned about buying downloads from Karaoke Version, Selectatrack or any other place that sells downloads?

I am not "concerned" with it outside of keeping my receipts showing what I purchased. I do that for business financials. It also provides proof or purchase if I ever were questioned about it.

For that matter, I am not "concerned" about 1:1 in general as I have always maintained 1:1 anyway. Since I have always been proactive about getting hold of the companies that have 1:1 policies and I have adhered to them, I don't worry about it.

I'd bet dollars to donuts that Lonnie has split his discs if you go by the true meaning that SC has laid out. Even tho I voted for option 2 that leaves out D/L's so if you have D/L'ed anything you can never be 1:1 as there is no physical disc.

Excuse me - gimme your dollars because you lost son!?!?? Every SC disc I have is sitting in the club along side the computer - all dup'd tracks and what not - nothing has been split anywhere.
If I were to get a second system, I would in fact purchase a full new library and not try to nitpick those few tracks I might have dups of into a 2nd system to start with.
If I were downloading tracks - I would purchase as many tracks as I needed for each system - 2 systems, 2 purchases.

I agree with Loneman. 2 Systems = 2 Purchases. I have 2 rigs and I have 2 library, both SC and CB. If I add another rig, I buy another complete set of disk to go with it. When I want new songs, I buy X # of disk for Y # of Systems because I am not into much of the downloading thing, although at this point, it is starting to look more cost effective.

As for the disk sitting next to the computer, no, they are safely tucked away in my safe. If and when the proper authorities show up to police my library, I'll unlock it and let them look to their hearts content.

 I don't think anyone on here thinks they can have muliple digital copies of a song from one cdg and use it at two or more venues simultaniously...... ..at least if it's from a SC or a CB cdg......having more than one digital copy of a song from a single cdg, only using one copy at any given time(as in having backup).......now that's the question..... :)

I knew I would be multi-rigging over a year ago. That is why I bought 2 of the Chartbuster 12000+ Drives. I also have over 2000 CB discs that I split across two additional rigs. I recently purchased a GEM series from Sound Choice to fill out one of the systems. I will likely pick up another GEM series in a couple of months since I am on the verge of having 3 rigs active on a weekly basis + a floater rig. I also spent most of December doing my annual inventory to ensure I have discs properly assigned to different rigs.

The point being, there are those of us that believe that a disc is a single unit and each system needs a unit. I have had up to 10 copies of some discs because of buying large disc libraries on eBay and Craigslist. In cases like that I assign a disc to each system then sell or give away the left-overs.
