For the past 6 months, every two weeks I spend a day or two looking at EVERY single city listing on Craigslist for equipment and discs. I think I have a pretty good feel for how much of what is being sold at any given time.

I found it very interesting today when I got to Florida and saw this ad - This guy wants ONLY Sound Choice discs - I wonder why?

I have also noticed increased activity of people selling full karaoke systems because they are "retiring", in "failing health", or "pursuing other opportunities". Of course it is only specultion on my part, but I can't help but wonder if the latest round of filings hasn't scared the cockroaches a little.

In regards to Portland fallout............I continue to hear of KJ's when confronted about certs by the barowner that they simply fold up thier tent and disappear to be replaced by a "Certified" (or so Ive been told) host. Just learned of another one Friday night where I dropped papers at.....the word is travelling fast.......and not just from direct contact from SC Reps or from me dropping papers.............but word of mouth bar owner to bar owner.

now that venues have been served in our little part of Florida ....hosts are disappearing like crazy and bar owners are calling us about 4-6 times a week. We are looking forward to them realizing they have to pay legit hosts a fair wage and have passed work on to a number of disc based hosts
