Just a side note: Whether or not the Sing Sing in question is the one I thought it was or not, please note that there are TWENTY "John Does" included in the suit. My "lack of investigation" comment stands.

It doesn't amuse me at all "Frankie J." has twenty people running 20 different shows for him. That would (could) be DJ Flex, DJ Pain, DJ Phats, DJ Screech, DJ BT, The Big Bopper, KJ Katrina, the hurricane, etc. etc. etc. etc..

John Doe suits are common practice when the given name for a subject is not yet known, the names will become known through discovery.

If you don't think it is common practice check out some of the suits filed by the U.S. government.

now THAT is a solid, plain english explanation i can understand.
