Yeah, she owes me $10 bucks.

I think she's the girl I call "Amorus" Amy. (Everyone gets a nickname at my show). Sometimes I threaten to tell everyone how she got her name.

Threatening won't get your $10 back.

If you loaned her $10 in the form of cash or drinks, write it off. I'm actually a softy like you, but I've been "hardened" over the years by those that whine that they need $10 and promise and swear and promise again and swear again that they'll pay you back and it never happens.

I learned the best way to handle it is to tell them that I don't have any cash on me and that I don't get paid until the end of the night, when all the patrons have already been kicked out. (I'm not even sure that I do that anymore... you'll have to check with Athena)

Not the $10 part. I was asking why you highlighted "Sometimes I threaten".

BTW, she doesn't really owe me $10. That was a joke.

Threatening a debtor will guarantee either slow payment or no payment. Didn't know you were joking. But have had plenty of drunk people ask for money.

One gal called him asking him to bail her out of jail when she got arrested on a DUI. Yeah, right. Gotta love drunk people.
