So the answer is, you have not paid fees to any one for licensing in the U.S., and your downloads are not licensed for use in U.S. based shows. Thank you for your straightforward answer.

Believe whatever you want. You apparently got buned and you want everyone else to suffer just because you are ignorant of licensing. Not everyone has to suffer with discs like you and be led to follow Don Quixote. Go climb another tree.

Believe it or not Tricera, Joe believes that the computer based shows are the inferior quality ones due to poor quality audio that Mp3 puts out. He says that he can tell an mp3 from the original disc just by listening to it once. I personally think it's bs but hey what do I know.
That aside I happen to agree with Joe on the US licenses. Until there is acentralized independent database that joe public can go see that Yes, Sunfly paid Joe Somebody for the rights to produce a song for sell in the USA then we have nothing further to discuss.

Yo.
Remember those Repertory search links I posted a few days ago?
The search results include contact info for the publishers and those in control of the rights.
If you want to know about specific songs and their licensing by specific manufacturers for certain uses, you can use that info to ask directly, and find out the FACTS.
Y'all haven't figured that out yet? Or is it that you don't really want to know?

Y'all haven't figured that out yet? Or is it that you don't really want to know? So who do you ask, the writer, the producer, the publisher, BMI, ASCAP, SESAC who's answer will be the correct one? Does anyone here really expect to get an answer to a question of "who" has licensing to a particular song? I can see a response to can I have licensing to do a particular song with no problem but not an inquiry for any information not related directly to a request that is going to cost you money.

A very good question, Steve, and one for which I certainly don't have a definitive answer- Maybe all? The only thing I DO know is that it's not the vendors. Kind of asking a used car salesman if his cars are better than anyone else's. What's he gonna say?

1) Yeah well, I believe good customer service is important to business too. Since I don't run into that much anymore either, Maybe I'm not so smart... 2) Thanks for your support here Bazza. From you it means a lot to me!
