Today I had to log-on to take a peek at this forum. Yesterday, I did not.
Why is that?
So now the general public can't read it? What if Yahoo News only allowed registrars to read comments after a story?
Oh, well. The site will do what it wants I guess.

We would like to have people register to use these forums.
Search Engines are free to browse them - just the general public now must login or register.
