I have been trying to sub a song since last night but I am always getting this message:
failed to copy

Is this related to the new server change??????

This past weekend (week) I have been extremely busy. We have been attempting to transfer the entire Karaoke Scene sites to the new server. There are several (see list below) and this has taken quite a bit of time. You may experience problems (Hopefully not) while the new sites are propogated to the new server IP addresses. This is because your computer stores the site in its cache and because the internet itself stores the information. It can take anywhere from 2 - 72 hours for all sites to properly be adjusted and pointed to the new server. The new server is up and operational! There is also the possibility of lost information. (Sorry, but it may occur) For example you submit information to the forum. However, it was stored on the old server and not the new. Same goes for Singer's Showcase. These are the sites that were transferred: www.KaraokeScene.com <-- main site www.KaraokeScene.net <-- FREE email site www.KaraokeFest.com www.ThatsKaraoke.com www.SingersShowcase.com Thanks and I hope this goes smoothly and without incident. |

well looks like some of us lost our last sub the comments are there but the sub does not play anymore so anyone subbed near me your sud don't play. seems a shame to have to delete it and lose all the comments on one of the most commented song I've done so far :shock: |

I've tried several times to upload something, and after a LONNNNNG time of uploading, I get a page that says this: failed to copy ... Please retry Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/singerss/public_html/up_load.php:133) in /home/singerss/public_html/up_load.php on line 163 I don't know what any of that means, or if it has anything to do with this site transfer, but I'd appreciate any help you can offer.. Yes this is probably because we changed servers - How I am uncertain but it is probably the case. I need to check scripts and see what is causing that. I apologize and will get on that ASAP! PHiLL |

 :shock: :shock: Same here wont let me sub but it lets you take one off now I got less subs and no new, It was going to be my last sub for a while as I need to focus on my set task. typical really haha,  sits and whistles but even that can't be heard. and just one last rant I'm fedup with being able to read singer's showcase forum but not being able to add a reply grrrrrrrrrrr

Well, like Joni Mitchell said, "you don't know what ya got 'til it's gone." The server seems pretty quick but listening everyone's music is a staple part of my daily diet. Get up woozy, log in, listen and comment, then if inspired write a song an sub it.. etc. 6:17 p.m. EST and tried another upload and no.. things are still not working. I mentioned this in another thread.... but could it be that wierd thing that happens to many of us before... ya know... how you have to modify your profile before your first sub.... even if you don't change anything.... just go into your profile (On the ss page... not the forum page) and then click submit.... It's very possible that I have no clue what I'm talking about.... but I remember I used to get an error page untill I modified my profile... |

THIS IS NOT an ERROR on the SERVER! This appears to be happening because your computers have stored the old site IP and cookies. I have tested and was able to submit. Please try clearing your cache and cookies. Also, try to logout from Singer's Showcase - this has stored old settings as well - looks for cookies on your computer. I will continue to monitor this but there doesn't appear to be any settings that are incorrect. |
