I received a private message and when I clicked on reply, I got a message saying the Administrator is not allowing me to send private messages. Why is this???

Thanks insulting. I paid for the maximum membership, I've submitted three songs, and I've commented on 21 other songs. And you don't even tell me what it means to be more active. I've also sent an email with a list of suggested improvements. Meanwhile you've got another member who sent me the email, and I can't even respond to them. You see it as some privilege I have to earn?

That should be updated...
I thought I had removed that requirement - apparently not!
Sorry. - Let me know if you still have trouble.
Also will be moving topic to proper forum.

Oh yeah? How about you take it to Phil yourself, because you care that a paying customer is unhappy? I don't even know who Phil is. But if he is the guy who runs this stuff, he obviously has other priorities, because this site discourages users from creating a real sense of community.

WOW! Len...
I am trying to assist - We do care about all our members paying or not.
The moderators have no idea who is or isn't a paying member. That isn't their concern, because they should be treating everyone alike. He was simply pointing out that he doesn't have the ability to override the forum settings. He was directing you to me.
I am Phill and I assist in maintaining this website for Karaoke Scene. I apologize for not taking care of the issue sooner but I don't work on the website full-time, therefore I didn't know about it.
I was forwarded your email of suggestions the other day. I am reviewing it will respond shortly. Thank you some of those will be implemented in the next few months.
If you have any questions, please post them in the forum as this is where I check most often.
I see that you originally posted in the Singer's Forum. I don't usually check in there because that was set up for members to discuss songs and singing.
I hope this helps explain the delay... I also hope that your situation has been remedied let me know if not.

Thanks Phill, I just didn't appreciate the less-than-helpful response and I tend to be direct about my feelings. In this case, it struck me as consistent with my impression of this site, which is that the way to solve problems is to remove the underlying functionality that the problem exploited, as opposed to finding a satisfactory implementation. I've met some very nice people here already, so I hope my first impression will change.
