I have tried IE 11, Chrome and Firefox - same story (although IE is the slowest of the 3) Other web sits load instantaneously while KS just sits there in the spinning load mode. Any idea why Phill this tends to be my experience lately but only if i log in in the early morning *2am - 7:30ish mountain time* -james

Can you possibly supply times that this is occurring?
I checked the server logs and didn't see any errors or reports of high usage.
However, if I have a time a may be able to narrow down what may have caused it.

I've been getting unusually slow periods at different times of days. Right now it's going fine - click and the page loads almost immediately. Last night approx. 2:00-2:30 AM PST it would hang up every time I clicked a forum or tried to post for a good minute at least.

However, if I have a time a may be able to narrow down what may have caused it. Today it was probably 45 min pre my original post time today - until apprx 2 hours past original post time before it reached an acceptable load speed. ( 8:00 am until 10:45 am Central time)

Tried again a third time, instananeous... This was around 10 am pst

It was unusually slow from around 7 a.m. to around 9:45 a.m. est. I have notices fluxes in performance at different times of the day. It is a little better right now (10:03 a.m.) but not a normal fast.

Same thing again today, from about 6am cst until about 8am cst would not even load. Finally at 9:52 am loaded after about a minute and takes almost a minute for each page. Guess I will have to get a life in the early morning hours.

what i find interesting, altho I don't know if it matters or not, is that most pages that are slow on the net will at least load some elements of a page.
on here when the slowdown seems to happen is that it takes up to a minute for the website to repond, during which nothing seems to happen, and then bam! The page appears almost instaneously *ads, pictures and all*
it's 8:32 am currently and its still a little laggy, but not as bad as it was

It just took me 14 minutes to get to this point (where I am typing this post). Here's the breakdown: I typed http://www.karaokescene.com at 7:01 AM EST today (02/22/2014). It took 3 minutes to go to the page. At 7:04 AM EST, I typed in my logon ID and password. It took 3 minutes to go to the next page where it acknowledged I am now logged in. At 7:07 AM EST, I hit the hyper-link to the Karaoke Forums. It took 2 minutes for that screen to appear. At 7:09 AM, I hit the Hyper-Link for "Comments, Suggestions, and Questions." It took 2 minutes to go to the next page. At 7:11 AM EST, I hit the hyper-link to enter this topic thread ("Karaoke Scene seem Slower"). It took 3 more minutes to open this topic thread. At 7:14 AM EST, I hit the "Add Reply" icon, and it took 1 minute to open so that I could type all this. That was a total of 14 minutes. EDIT.... I hit SUBMIT at 7:23 AM EST, and it took 4 minutes for it to post. At 7:27 AM EST, I hit the Hyper-link to "View My submission," and it took another 3 minutes to show me my post.

Yeah, I think I am done trying to visit this site before 11:00 am anymore, it is kind of ridiculous...how slow it is!

Not only is the site loading slower, but the posting of anything has gone way down too. On Friday there were times when hours went by without a single new post. Maybe Bruce is right when he said "no arguing is boring" (not a real quote... only the gist).

Well it may not be the actual site at all.
Altho i can't comprehend why because of the general timeframe, it could be that the total network traffic of the internet provider that KS resides on is extremely high.
Most high speed providers start capping or cutting back the bitrate when the traffic starts getting too high.

I don't know if this is related but; I leave the auto login box checked and I've noticed that several times as I use the same bookmark that I've always use (in my chrome bookmark bar) that I am required to login again anyway.
Subsequently, the KS-site slows to a crawl.
I can hit any number of speed-test sites and everything is normal on my end.
I had to login again today about noon MST, but the site seems to be quite a bit faster than this morning between 3 and 5 a.m.
