Since about a month ago (or longer) I have noticed I no longer receive email notifications on new posts within topics which I have posted in. They just stopped.
I changed nothing within my preferenes.
Under preferences I have the "Yes" checked for the following:
"Notify me upon replies by default: Sends an e-mail when someone replies to a topic you have posted in. This can be changed whenever you post."
Can anyone explain/help?

This capability was removed due to the fact that some members were signing up for notification then claim it was spam!
This effected the ability of the site to send any emails.
AOL, Yahoo, MSN, and many other providers even sbcglobal, comcast and verizon have stopped allowing some emails if any from Karaoke Scene and it's sites from sending to them - or at least they stopped delivering the emails to their customers as they have determined that anything that is sent from us is spam - so if you are using a FREE email provider (IE you don't have your own domain) chances are you are a victim of this...
Nothing that we can do.

I belong to several forums for a variety of purposes and this is the only one I know of that has found it necessary to stop sending notifications because of malicious members. I'll bet there IS something you can do if you wanted to. Like maybe restrict the notifications to paying customers? There's no way you have enough enemies willing to pay to sabotage the effectiveness of your site.
I can tell you this, having to come back to see whether there are any responses to my posts here is a pain, and just serves to re-enforce in my mind that your way of dealing with issues is to remove functionality, as opposed get to the root of a problem and fix it. I know what I'm saying sounds harsh, but I see a pattern here. Yeah, I know you are part time. But that doesn't matter to me. To me, you are a service I pay for, just like any other. So to me you are a business, and the more value you can provide, the more I'm willing to pay. But if you make it harder or provide less functionality, the value goes down. Ultimately this the business decision you are making. So I'm only providing my feedback as one individual. For what it's worth. Overall you're probably doing a good job. I just hate to see you take functionality away when there's a problem.
