This stuff started a couple of days ago. Before that I never had to log in to read posts on the forum. The only time I had to log in was when I posted or replied to something.
I'm not AOL either.......I'm Comcast
Hey flipper.. JD here..

There was a script that was added during a recent update that caused everyone to read the forum rules - I think I fixed that now! STILL A GOOD IDEA!
Also, AOL has some coding that causes errors with "Session IDs" there is absolutely nothing that I can do about this. Recently Google did an update on their toolbar and program supposed to help excelerate the web! NOPE! It blocks "Session IDs" Sorry nothing that I can do about that either.
Firefox and IE seem to work fine. Without the "special" toolbars.

Im still not sold on the fact that these problems are everyone elses fault (AOL IE...Etc...) when these things didnt start happening until the last time this website was "tampered" with...too much of a coincidence IMO.

It seems every other day I have a problem logging on to SS/KS for about a half hour and then it's fine. I do not use AOL or Firefox. Also sometime when I upload a song, I get the 'internet explorer cannot display this page' screen and then I try again and it's fine. This has been going on for the past few months. I e-mail others to ask if it's happening to them at the same time and the answer is YES.
I also clean out my cookies/temp files almost daily

The only thing that has changed is some script updates which only effect the mod add ons not how people connect?! Also, these in no way effect SS?!
I am uncertain what "troubles" you are experiencing - I need complete details in order to track the situation.

Since I posted on this thread, it's been fine!! If it happens again, I'll copy and paste the error message here.

I haven't been able to stay logged in for more than the time I log in & when I try to move on it says I need to login! I am an AOL user, I clicked 'keep logged in' or whatever it is to remember my login info & haven't had a problem needing to login again. Give it a shot, maybe?

TTown, are you using the AOL browser? You might try logging in on AOL, but not using their browser. Just minimize it all, and then launch IE or Firefox or netscape...
