Hello everyone, I've asked this once before, but feel it may need a refresher listing to see what else or whom else is out there that knows where to get the video and audio bits that I need to enhance my show. I use CompuHost and am VERY happy with it, especially since they have come out with a revision that has allowed my show computer to run at 1/2 the performance load as before, even after all the bells and whistles have been reactivated ( EG. Host screen, synthesizer etc.) This show hoster rocks and I highly reccomend it to anyone looking for a hoster program.
Have still not used the performer recording button yet, but I will soon. I have some great singers and with their permission will use their sets as filler when desired. Copies of their set to them (CD/MP3) will also endear them to my show. Everyone wins!

I have some Audio bits for now, but could use more and the video bits could use some improvement as well. I'm getting tired of using the same old CompuHost stock bits. (I'm sure the regulars are as well)

What are the legalities of this, I'm finding some GIF's etc. at such places as feeblminds-gif.com, but there's a suggestion that its not for commerical use, and they want a mention of the origination of the GIF/BMP/JPG if its used anywhere besides the home pc or personal e-mail. Can these still be used at my show as long as I make a mention of the website that the GIF/BMP/JPG's came from? This confuses me.

Thanks ahead of time for the responses... :)

I TOTALLY AGREE COMPUHOST ROCKS! I just got it the other day actually... Hands down the best hosting program out there (I know it's a matter of opinion, but it is just so awesome!)

...getting more "video bits" from the makers of compuhost would be a cool thing... In the meantime, I don't think it would really be a problem using some of the animated gifs out there on the internet... it's not like you are reselling these or repackaging these animations for resale... if it would ever be an "issue" then you can simply stop using them...

You can check out all of the libraries by clicking on the products you are interested in on the left side of the maun web page.  You can then click on any individual library to learn more of the collection on that volume and to view samples of the graphics and videos of their animations.  The crisp, clean and detail in their graphics, animations and videos is simply outstanding.  You can use these collections to create your own inhouse promotional and advertising spots, or create themed or attractive multimedia displays to run inbetween singers or during music breaks.  The website also has a FAQ area for the different products-
http://www.digitaljuice.com/support/default.asp
various video tutorials on how to use their products to their maximum-
http://www.digitaljuice.com/djtv/default.asp
and also view examples submitted by users of their products-
http://www.digitaljuice.com/dj_showcase/default.asp
They also have a forums section where you can learn even more and ask questions of the staff and DJ's who use these in their business.
http://www.digitaljuice.com/community_f ... efault.asp
This is simply an incredible resource for those interested, and skilled enough, to visualize and create amazing and eye catching displays with these libraries.  This library collection is not for everyone and the volumes run in cost from $99 to $399 depending on the series but they run frequent sales and specials i.e. buy 10 for $249 etc.  It isn't the definitive collection that will fill all your needs but it is one heckuva source for setting your company/show apart from others... enjoy...
