Hi, just wondering if when going to ur fav. karaoke bar do you ever feel that everyone has heard you sing the same old song time and time again, and they're tired of you and your songs?  do you feel you need to go checking out other bars with fresh ears,  are do you just go to ur bar to meet ur friends and have a good time not caring if they have heard ur songs a hundred times before r not...are you THAT loyal to ur fav. karaoke bar?

as for me,  i do have a few songs i always sing it seems, but i do try to mix it up some, i really don't go out that much anymore anyway....i remember the night they had (not sure what ya'll call it) where u sing a song the kj picks out of the blue, i thought, oh my god, i'm dead here, and he picked a woman's songs for me, which i had never heard before but i had the best time doing that, really a blast...altho i did see one lady walk in, heard what was going on and left, her loss....

i know when playing in a band way back when sometimes we would play a club over 1 yr...gag....and when 1 new face walked in we all perked up...i'm sure our songs got so old to them yet they always found their way back.

soooooo i guess i am one of those that needs new ears to sing to after awhile...
plus, the fact that their veggies r fresher when thrown...

Billy

I have a big enough repertoire so I am not always singing the same thing. But I do have a few I consistently do, and I think that is OK.

I try to remember that while I remember what I sing, other people only hear me every so often. In fact, I like to sing the same song a few times at a new place just to establish it -- it may take them some time to appreciate.

But to sing the same song, in the same order, week after week, would be a bit
much. There is this one fellow at a place I go that sings the same 4 songs over
and over, and always the same one first. Boy, that gets old.

I'm with Micky. I have a large enough selection and I'm always willing to try new songs. I'll sing a standard for me to warm up, and then it's usually however the crowd is going that selects my next song. Plus since I buy a lot of custom discs, I'm usually willing to try these newer songs...

geez I dont even have set rotates, it is dependant on the type of gig I am doing that determines what I sing. Smooth jazz etc for restaurant gigs and well I even did a bit of metal on Saturday while husband cracked open the pink floyd

I try not to repeat songs very often  at the same place.  And I always try at least 1 new one.  i don't want to bore people (including myself)!  And there are so many songs out there that I want to do...
