some of the characters I've ran into in my time...

"The sin sisters" - a couple of gals that always danced very sexy at my earlier venue... I called them that one day and nearly brought the house down.
"Star Search Steve" - the guy actually tried out for star search, but was turned down.
"Dan-O"
"Stevie Pooh"
"Hard Core Kelly"
"Michael Fogerty" - a bud of mine loved CCR and Fogerty in general... practically all he sang...

Of course, then there's the nicknames I was called.
"Mattman", "Matty", "The Fat Guy" (Ironically, I'd forgotten I was embracing that last one... and some gal when she finished singing screamed out "HEY FAT MAN!" I got a bit peaved... until I walked up there and there on the screen was my logo! LOL! I kinda felt stupid with that one!

I do think it's kinda funny that there were other fun ways to remember folks... we had one guy that was about as tone def as you could imagine. I loved him to death... always fun and outgoing, never had a mean thing to say about anybody. He'd get on the mic and say "I've never done this song before", even add in "EVER" sometimes... always on songs he'd sang over and over and over. We'd yell out "LIAR" or "EVER" when appropriate... what truly a fun way to break the ice with newbies to the club!

It's funny only to know some people by their karaoke names. You see them outside of the venue and feel silly saying hello Polish sausage.

HAHAHAHAHA,  I see the thread title has been appropriately corrected.

At one point I was mulling around changing my name to Kappaoke but decided that it just wouldn't "fit"

True,   We men aren't used to that type of discomfort.  Well I should say MOST of us aren't.

Speaking of pets Babs.  I'm looking at the Sharpei pup in my avatar.  Those wrinkles are A LOT of work cleaning out with Q-tips each day.

Well they aren't maintenance free animals.  People that get these cutesy dogs end up with a lot of work on their hands whether the dogs a Yorkie, or bag of wrinkles...  They are prone to infections from dirt and stuff that gets snagged in those folds.

All animals need some kind of special attention. My cats need to be bathed once a week because of the oil on their skin.

If you know you'll be committed to keeping his folds clean ( again Eeewww, sounds like something that needs to be circumsized) I would get one.

I think they are so cool looking. The only time I would suggest not getting a certain breed is if the breed is known for certain health problems. I know Bulldogs have a short life span - breathing problems, eye problems etc..

Which is the problem with Sharpei pups.  You have to get them to a Rabbi that'll cut that forskin off've their head before they look like a dog !

I know it was obvious.. But someone had to do it.. At least I didn't say anything about the "little" part.... I figured I should let him keep a "little" dignity...Don't tell him I said anything to you.. He may crawl back to his womb if he finds out....
