I don't know if it's the weather or time of year, but it has been slow the last couple of weeks. I'm used to it happening when the summer festivals start, but not now. Maybe people are staying home because taxes hit them hard this year - I just don't get it. Poopie doopies

Our Wednesdays are much slower than normal, Thurs, Fri & Sat starts off slow, but is SRO by about 11 or so.  Sun, Mon & Tue  hit or miss, but no real increase/decrease on the average.

The college kids should be home this week, right ?   This weekend might pickup somewhat.

Agree and hoping on the college kids coming home for the summer.  In the smaller towns it's funny how much that can bump the till.

Not a lot of 'em but those who do return of course have to catch up with the old crowd, and then the summer fun begins...

The next few weeks will see mostly standing room in most karaoke club. People are coming back for the gawai and in a festive mood.

Yeah, the Trekkies should know who it is, otherwise it just looks like another disgruntled Windows user.

The BAR business is about the same - some weeks SRO and others NOT!
Karaoke Business (singers) at the bar are off a little -
1) One of my regulars and his wife started their own KJ business
2) The bar directly across the street (which happens to be bigger and nicer than the bar I host in) has started Karaoke on Saturdays also and some of my regs went over there cause the KJ was a personally friend of theirs.  :(  :(

This bar is on the MARINA and should pick up now that the boats are being put in the water and the outside bar should open up at the end of the month.

Been a bit slow here as well..I remember that this happens every year right around the time school is getting out for the summer....my theory is that parent are taking their kids on vacations, which slows down local karaoke, and also once they get back they haven't quite figured out what to do with the kids yet, so they are not going out as much....then there is just kinda a trickle down effect from there

It'll be back to normal in just a few weeks

Hell, I still remember the episode it came from... when the trapped prisoner entities took over Miles O'Brien, Troi, and Data when they beamed down to the planet. From the 5th Season episode "Power Play"

I DID have to look up where I originally saw it, refreshing my memory of about 15 years ago! LOL!
