Long, long, long.                The Beatles  (White Album)

I'd like to try this song,  gorgeous song. Depressing, but a gorgeous love ballad none-the-less.

(I was playing around with "Thank You"  Led Zep.     and I started wondering, Hmm- now what else would a person wish to sing assuming they felt like sitting around wallowing in self-pity  LOL .  Nah, Seriously..  I love these songs.  I get sort've sensuous during mating season <shrug> )

Thank You by Zep is out there on: Disc # SC8674 Label Sound Choice Spotlight.
There's no Long, Long, Long though.

I have Thank You.   Most likely, many of the slower ballads I like are not on CD-G.  Quite a few are long.  Besides, It would be a KJ's nightmare for somebody like me to come up requesting "The Rain Song".  "Crystal Ship"  (The Doors) was on the CAVS JB-199 I used to sing on, but it was a pretty horrid version as I recall.

(Vaguely recall the Blind Faith version of "Can't Find My Way Home" is out there.  That was a blast)

It actually just occurred to me that Long, long, long likely couldn't be in Karaoke format. Reason being the lead into the song is just vocals, and not phrased in such away that without that god awful pan flute, could likely be workable in terms of timing...

The pick up is the lyrics...

"It's been a"...

If lyrics precede the instrumentals it couldn't work...  Maybe that's why Crystal Ship was such a lousy rendition, might've had the pan flute

Not for me.  I have it on Legends LG-098. Not magnificent, but IMHO, the only halfway decent version out there...

Maybe there's more than one version.  I don't know , but I recall the particular version I tried singing to not being at all impressive, in fact it was a pretty lousy rendition.  I might be wrong however, and thinking of a different song.  It's been a few years. Could've also been my inability to sing it strongly that contributed to it's lack of lustre.

Version of Crystal Ship I have sucks!  On A UK disc, can't even tell for the first measure what the song is.

Those of you that are into the mid-60's really old classic stuff.   Try the Herman's Hermits CD-G's.   (at least the renditions I tried were great)

THOSE were a blast.

I was goofing around with "Mrs Brown you've got a lovely Daughter", and the particular backing (not sure if there's more than one) was a lot of fun.

There ARE are versions by Performance Tracks, UK, Nu-Tech (probably the one you sang), and Druid.....
