Hi. I do not sing but all of my friends do.  I am here to try and figure out what all the excitement is. I go with them to sing but I just watch. Too scared to get on stage.

I posted this a couple days ago in the “Discussion forum”, that you might find relevant.  

You can’t be more backwards than I was, so I know it’s possible.  

I didn’t even think I’d enjoy it, but believe me, if you like music and your friends enjoy it, you’ll enjoy it, too.

Best, in my opinion, got somehow get a bit of practice in private, if you know anyone with a system at home, for instance.  

Or find a song you like that you can sing along in your key, and practice it a bit.  That way at least you’ll know you can sing it without worrying about where to drop/raise the key.

For me, it still took some “liquid confidence”, but that was just me.  

Anyways, I’m new here too, but welcome.

Ohhh Jump in get your feet wet !! You'll be hooked before ya know it !!! I am a FIRM believer that EVERYONE & ANYONE can sing they just have to find their own style. Just sing like noones listening !! Its an awesome experience if ya ever try it  Welcome BTW !! ~ Kelley ~

Thank you both. I am going to watch my friends sing tonight. Perhaps with some extra liquid encouragement I can sing something. I have actually aways loved that song Brass in Pockets. And I like to sing along on the radio. I wonder if they have that on Karaoke?
