I don’t really have a particular outfit or style. In the summer, I tend to wear those “flowery” shirts, but mostly because that’s what I wear anyways. In the winter, I’ll usually just dress casual/clean/neat. Of course, if it were a wedding, I would wear a suit, or at least formal. Do you do anything different as far as your formal host wardrobe? Do you know anyone who does? Do you think it could be a good idea? |

What I wear is also my trademark. All black, all the time. Formal events would be a black suit with black shirt and tie. Fits in almost any situation or venue. The trade mark includes sandals- year round. ( except at formal events, of course). It's actually just a personal preference but I've become known for it. Black always looks neat and clean even when wearing it casually. I think it adds a touch of class as well.... |

Funny you should say that. I do dress all black a lot over the winter months. I agree, it does have a dramatic look. |

Accordingly! To the venue & the crowd. If I were doing a biker bar, I wouldn't dress in slacks & polo shirt. If I were doing a preppy/yuppy type bar, I wouldn't were what i'd wear at the biker bar. My club now is mixed some people dress up, many do not. I generally wear nice jeans & some kind of wild shirt (button down). Couple of examples. |

Hey JoeChartreuse, I just assumed you would be a very bright dresser. I agree with all of the statements you guys have made as far as the "dress code" I only do private parties and I usually try to ask if they have a theme. Example: biker, tropical, etc...I have even done one that was "nerdy" played a lot of oh my goodness techno.. I will then dress appropo for the occasion or ask the customer what they are looking for since I am in their garage/club/bar/venue. It is imperative that neat and clean always rule. Remember deoderant and tic tacs are our friends. By the way I am having a great time reading the threads and gathering a lot more knowledge from all of you. Blue |

Blue I can't tell you how much I get this... . Funny thing is, Chartreuse is my real last name. My father's folks were Russian, and their name was something like "Tzartruz". When they came here, it was "Americanized" to the French sounding Chartreuse. However, as an added bonus, my favorite liqueur, which I've been drinking almost since legal age, is Green Chartreuse..... |

This is easier to understand when realizing Jerry grew up in a slightly "different" generation than most of us. Jerry unfortuneately ran into a few problems during the 60's culture, and never really emerged unscathed. While he types like one would expect an adult male to type, he tends to have his own special ideas regarding <clearing throat> mens fashion |

Depends on the time of year...down here it's jean shorts and tshirts in the summer, but jeans and tshirts in the winter the only time we dress up is when there's a private party or we think there are going to be hotties in the room...and "dressing up" down here is a starched button down shirt instead of a tshirt....oh, and of course jeans! |
