eek. I personally haven't seen any "good inexpensive" players since the Pioneer 310 / 10G.

Actually a friend of mine has this one. It took her FOREVER to track it down because it had be so in demand about a year ago that the suppliers had them on backorder for a good 3 months. It's worth the price, actually it's worth the list price. The sound isn't bad at all, just make sure your amp system is good because most people I've heard pan this one has had bad amps they were working with and didn't know it. You'll want to replace the mic it comes with, the system is good the mic is awful.
