Just trying to get an avatar, so this is post #1.

My wife is a member here already, she talked me into joining to meet some of you. (maybe SHE is even writing this while I look over her shoulder??)   :D

And by the way, do not, I repeat DO NOT flirt with me.... or she'll start kicking tail around here. (yeah... I'm pretty sure wifie is writing this while I read over her shoulder)

Hey Lonnie!  Well whatever it takes to get that first 10 posts -- doesn't really matter how you get 'em.  And Charmin, get off his back already will ya? Sheesh!!!  LMAO  I donated a bunch of points to you.  Now you can buy yourself something nice at the "forum shop". ha,ha   Everybody, if there ever was a person that knows all about Fords it's Lonnie!

What did I do?

I took a VOW to be on his back all the time.... And I always honor my vows:)

I already donated him points, how do ya think he was able to change his title thingee? (to what I wanted it to be, lolll)  He wont every be using them anyhow, he just mainly wants to be able to hang out in SS. But thanks, I'll let him know you did. (maybe he'll buy ya a beer...if Denny's takes KS points? )

Thanks Sharon. I was pointing you out to him, to let him know WHO it was that was supposed to come here last summer (then bailed)  LMAO

However, he's starting to weaken under all my ranting and raving about flying out to Texas... so who knows? Maybe, just maybe.... we'll get down there before the year is out. No promises, but a big maybe. You Texas people would sure be on my list of places to go & people to see.

Hi and welcome.  Nice to see a husband and wife enjoying karaoke.  My husband hates it and never would come to the bar.  His motto is "In the properly constituted individual, unconsciouness occurs before karaoke."  This was in response to the idea that if he drank enough, he would sing.

I used to go with one of his friends whose wife didn't like going either.  He is a nice enough guy, but we don't have a lot to say to each other.  I'd probably go more if I had friends who would go with me.

Errr..... don't let his appearance here fool ya:) He's only here to get to know some people, cause he knows I want to do some traveling and meet members from here. So I made him join, where he can have his OWN chance to meet people.

He does NOT enjoy karaoke much, he wouldn't even go if it weren't for the fact that I wont go in a bar alone... I need a fella looking out for me. He's there for the beer and to be my body guard. In all honesty, he'd prefer I quit karaoke all together, and go back to just playing my guitar and singing. (he'll admit that.... but don't get on the subject with him... he can go on for hours about how karaoke is "cheating"... especially when he's got beer down.... ask Odie, he's heard it) He loves music, he sings Hank Sr songs at the top of his lungs when he's in his truck... he just thinks karaoke "ruins" people who would otherwise have an instrument in hand:)

Oh, and you've most likely figured out who's hubby he is by now:)

I'll make sure he gets on here to see the welcomes.... Saturday, you should move here. We could go out and sing together, and the hubbies could drink, play pool, and scorn karaoke together..... hahaha.

Your pic is blurry, it's hard to see you- can't even make out your smile. I wish you had a clearer one up so's I could see you better. How am I supposed to flirt properly?

That's what I am talking about!!!  Singing Squid, Texas Gigi, phatrat and Jonny Echo are getting together This Friday... Seems Johnny is coming to the DFW area.. I am very excited.. I think he is about as mature as the rest of use are.. And if that is the case then we should have a room full of singing 12 year olds....LMAO

Gosh Charmin.. I hope this means you will get to come to Texas or OK someplace closer someday to sing so we can meet you... Canby is sooooo far away.... So load up you pop-up and hit the road soon... Cause we are all waiting.....

Firstly, I don't use a "pop up"...... I rough it when I camp out, like a REAL outdoorsman.  LMAO  Seriously though, I'm a tent or sleeping bag-under-a-tree type of person.  That wise arse comment wasn't very nice of me, was it? Muahaha

But, if we come to Texas, I'm sure I'll get a motel. I'm not packing a tent and coleman stove on an airplane, Lol.

I've told ya, over and over.... when I do get on a plane, Texas it is. I want to go see my brother anyhow, he's in Gatesville. And there's a band I've been invited to sit in with at their gigs, they play from San Antonio to Austin- that would be a hoot for a few nights. And I want to be able to spend a day or so in New Braunfels visiting my cousins. So... I'd be sure and get a couple days in the DFW area as well. I have ALL the plans, all the places and people to go see... all I need is the nerve to get on the airplane. (or... gas prices to go down, so I can just drive there)  LMAO

ok, i took that with my web cam 'cos i was tired of my other one, i'll dig it out and use that 'til i get a new one....mikey's been hollerin' for me to get a new one too...i just had my driver's license renewed today, i could use that one.....ewwwwwwwwww

LMAO  EDIT:  ok hon, here's a brand spankin' new one taken on my birthday....i hope you don't change your mind 'bout the flirtin'... :(


no pop-ups for me either no-sir-reeeeeee, it's a fully equipped rv or i'm stayin' at a hotel and it better have a hot tub.... :yes:
