Just wondering if anyone has any experience with Pyle wireless mics.?

I am looking for a "cheaper" set of dual wireless. I have a peavy for myself..but summer is coming and so are the crowds. I am really looking for a decent set of duals to pass to the peeps I dont trust with my peavy lol.

Also wondering if there will be interference with 2 seperate wireless.

any suggestions??

All I can comment is that any and all things PYLE are CHEAP, in every sense of the word.

This is exactly why I don't have wireless mics at my show. I have found that the most inexpensive ones that have the same performance as a decent wired mic start around $400-600, and who in their right mind is going to hand off a $400-600 piece of equipment to a drunk kid who is about to fall over that is about to thrash out to Guns N Roses on top of a table in the back of the room?

I use Pyre and they are decent and worked out ok for me. They sound decent but they tend to process more higher frequency, sounding a bit tinny, however, that can be adjusted with the EQ on my mixer. I haven't had any problems with interference. They tend to be a bit fragile from what I have seen. I had a guy pretending to be some rock star and dropped the mic from about 5 feet to carpeted floor. It sounds a tiny bit muddy after that. If you take care of it and adjust EQ accordingly, it's a decent pair of mics to use.

I have a set - though inexpensive, the body is a resign of a Mipro. For the average person the frequency range is too wide (the specs are off on the box)

I run a 15 band EQ in line with (microphone – EQ – Mixer) in which I can easily adjust frequencies accordingly. The heads are surprisingly good as far as distortion goes.

If you have not an EQ in line with these microphones they will magically turn into fishing weights. But if you have an EQ (a good one, don’t be cheap or your system will hum like it forgot the words) these will work well and your choice of microphones will widen.

Thankyou for the advice. Hard to pic a mic when you can't touch them to see how heavy they are etc..Any other thoughts are greatly appreciated!

In the same price range you might try a Nagy. VERY durable, VHF....Sounds is about the same as the Pyle..

The mic weighs about middle of the field compared to other mics. I would say equal to or a bit less than Shure SM-58. The mic is long though, it's about a 12" or so?

As for VHF, I would stay away from them and stick with UHF. I have had too many interference experience with VHF and would never get them. I am sure there are ones that works fine but they are way too close to the FM frquencies and depends on your TV and Radio channels, it's a gamble.

   1)  Disagree here:  The sound of either the Pyle of NAGY a quitea bit away from the SM-58, in my kinda humble opinion.

    2)   Agree here, of course.  The problem is that he wants to keep it very inexpensive...

Yea VHF is def. out. Heard tooo many problems with those. I will keep looking around. I really have all the mics I need with the Peavy wireless and 2 sure wired mics. It's just as summer is getting closer the crowds get busier..and drunker. My regulars always use my wireless which is fine, but then everyone wants to use it lol.

Oh well its my own fault for letting them.

You didn't read my post right. I said WEIGHT is about middle of the road, not the quality.

Sorry, Eben- I caught a case of the stupids.

A decent midrange UHF might be the Gemini UF8264.   Decent sound, 64 freqs to choose from, and a one-incher, so feedback is a non-issue in close quarters...

The good thing about living in my country is that the airwave is not that congested. Any cheap wireless mic will do. VHF is the norm. The bad thing about cheap mic is that it need heavy eq'ing; most have little low end and the hi is a bit too much.

You are right there.

I won't patronize a place that has only cheap mics -- I am a deep baritone and I sound awful if there is no low end. If they have a cheap wireless, I will ask if they have a wired mic and often then get handed an SM58, which I am glad to have.

Maybe I am alone, but it might make sense to give people a choice of a good-quality wired mike along with the cheap wireless.

Given a choice I will use a corded sm58 over a wireless sm58..... i just like the feel of the wire and it sound better.

OK just want to say...I do NOT have cheap mics lol.
I have a cordless Peavy..GREAT MIC. I have 2 corded sure mics. Older ones but still sound great. What I was looking for was something frankly for the drunks that are impressed with the cordless. I don't want to hand off my peavfy to the drunks..they see the others use it and get a little peaved. Was just looking for something middle of the road to keep them somewhat happy.

I have been using APi's for almost 4 years now and love them. You can get a rack mountable 2 mic setup for well under $200. They have been dropped, thrown, even taken apart and they work great. They have the look and feel of a more expensive mic, and with a good board, they sound good too. They run on 9volts, and I do almost 2 shows on the frequently used mic, and almost 3-4 months on the 2nd mic between batteries.

They usually aren't promeniently advertised, but most online stores carry them.

These are not the same, but they aren't bad...

Their mikes are pieces of junk.  Their speakers on the other hand are pretty good.
Just picked up a seiheiser freeport wireless to go along with my Samson Stage Series I wireless. I also have a vocopro wired that sounds good as well. I actually prefer the wired over the samson but I have a feeling I'm gonna like the seiheiser better as it normally goes for $499. I got it for $149.

Right on the button.  I have a fairly happy crew of serious drinkerws at my Friday night, and they get the Nagy "Drunk Mics".  When I know the singer requires it, they automatically get the SM-58.  I also run a mid-range Gemeni UHF, and a wireless SHure 58 Beta ( I have 5 inputs) .......'cause ya never know.....
