To All Concerned It has come to Boston Legal & Associates attention that posters here have given legal advice concerning copyrighted work in the area of karaoke or cdg music in the public performance a work derived therefrom. The cd distributers have obtained the proper licenses and are responsible for Federal Copyright Laws Your advice is totally unfounded in contempory legal opinion, encompasses shady areas of current law (this has not been addressed by the United States Senate, nor have any court cases established legal outcomes concerning the above) It is generaaly frowned upon even on attorney's forums to give general legal advice especially speculation on especially concerning laws that have not been tested in an actual court case.It is srongly frowned upon posts or legal advice given by non-professionals. I demand that you immediately cease the posting of unfounded legal advice or accuse any member of this forum as being illegal, a liar, or assumng that the member is engaged in illegal activites whether privately or in a commercial situation. I suspect, that this guy might be a poseur. The name does sound familiar however. Is this the Atty that defended that Exxon Valdez tanker stuff ? The Navy guy ? |
