Hi, everyone. My school talent show is coming up and I have been searching online for free backing tracks for some at least relatively recent music. I've been trying to avoid midi files (I just don't want to use them.) So, does anyone know of a decent site where I can find something like this? Any responses will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. |

Hi brainstew, since no-one has bothered to acknowlege you allow me to welcome you. I kinda think you may be in the wrong place though as this is not a site that shares nor offers anything for free except advice...and judging by the lack of response to your question, the warmth of the welcome is conditional upon you not making the faux pas of asking for anything for free |

Hi Vikki...unlike the previous poster there ARE some things that are free. As you know I've already offered to send you some tracks that I though would suit you...but regarding special tracks for your talent show here's a thought. I'm sure that you like me have TONS of karaoke CD's which means that you have established a relationship to a vendor. Based on that relationship you can ask for some free disks from him. In addition- the person I get almost all of my disks from is Kevin Steele from KaraokeStar. He has grab bags where he gives discontinued CD's away w/ a purchase. He also has discounted bundles that are ridiculously cheap. It's worth a try to see if he could help. I personally have over 300 disks and will be happy to send you copies of songs that might be appropriate. Let me know hon! Some things- other than advice- ARE free- especialy for a good cause like children. Paula |
